Rookie Agent Rouge

I. Introduction

Rookie Agent Rouge is 2016 Chinese television series directed by Xu Zizhou, starring Zhao Liying and Lu Yi. The series aired on Dragon TV and Zhejiang TV from 27 September to 21 October 2016. It was shot in Shanghai Film Park.

II. Synopsis

During the 1930's, China was at its worse and at the brink of war, exacerbated by looming threats from foreign invaders that were hungry for power. It was a time when passionate individuals with admirable courage and strength stood united to fight for their land. Lan Yan Zhi (Zhao Li Ying) is the only daughter of Lan Chang Ming, the owner of Shanghai bank. She is privileged, spoiled and rich but a chance encounter with Song Mian (Yuan Wen Kang) drags her into the Sino-Japanese War to become a member of the Nationalist party. During her lowest moments, she finds a renewed spirit with the help of Communist compatriot Zhou Tie Shan (Lu Yi).
