K-pop has warped the perception of what normal views for YouTube videos should be. Even for popular artists they’re not doing 20m views in one day or the first 24 hours or whatever. K-pop is a niche genre in the US, the US has lots of niche genres, it doesn’t mean it’s disappearing just because it’s not at the peak it was. It’s most likely returning to baseline.
