lol, I lived the experience. My Dad was desperate for me to do a STEM degree and I got into Chemical Eng. I caved into the pressure even though I was always more interested in the humanities. and omg dude, I seriously regretted it. By some miracle I managed to graduate but only with a lot of extra support from my professors and I ended up with several mental breakdowns + severe anxiety. I'm not cut out for engineering and only took it to please my Dad. I just wanted to warn other people to think twice before taking Engineering if they aren't interested in the subject. I found it very difficult to grasp some concepts and I had to learn a lot of programming and coding which I didn't know when I accepted the course.

That must be difficult. Just wanna caution you against taking Engineering if you're not that keen on it. It is difficult especially when you don't like the subject and there are a lot of abstract topics.
