It's been simmering for a long time, even when Garam was still with the group. The top comments in their Fearless encore are very critical, commenting this is one of the worst live vocals they heard. This was 2 years ago.
They don't deserve the hate and severe personal attacks but you can understand why it exploded so much and it's not stopping even now. Besides the typical haters, there are always a bunch of people who take things too seriously. They probably think its a huge outrage LSF has been so successful yet there are many other talented people who will not achieve anything compared to them.
