  • I. Introduction

    Ahyeon is the lead vocalist, lead rapper, and center of the South Korean girl group BABYMONSTER.


    II. Biography

    Ahyeon was born Jung Ahyeon (정아현) in South Korea. She has a younger brother. She is one of the three South Korean members of the group (the others being Rami and Rora). She is capable of speaking English, Korean, and Chinese.


    III. Career

    During her tenure as a student in either middle or high school, she started attending Ara Dance Academy along with group member Haram. She started training at YG Entertainment for four consecutive years. She passed both JYP Entertainment’s and Banana Culture’s auditions. Some of the songs that she has sung as a requirement are Monster by the Canadian singers Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber, Team by the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, Body Language by the American rapper Kid Ink, and Black Widow by Iggy Azalea. Yang Hyunsuk acknowledged that Ahyeon is talented in many different areas. Ahyeon was the second member of BABYMONSTER to be revealed. Out of all the members of BABYMONSTER, Ahyeon is the only individual of the group who did not appear in the group's song Batter Up.
