II. Background & Release
SM Entertainment stated that aespa would release the group's first studio album, and that it was to be named Armageddon. "Supernova" and "Armageddon" were announced as singles from the album. The album was released on May 27th, 2024 to the public.

Critics The Forty-Five ranked the album at four out of five stars, The Guardian ranked it at two out of five stars, and NME (New Musical Express) ranked it at four out of five stars.
Armageddon received more than a million pre-order sales.
Armageddon was ranked at #52 on the UK Album Downloads (Official Charts Company).
