I. 2019–2020: CLIMIX and CAP-TEEN
On August 27, 2019, Taehoon was introduced as the first member of CLIMIX's upcoming boygroup which is still unnamed.
On September 21, 2020, Taehoon was announced as an upcoming contestant on the 2020 teen survival show, CAP-TEEN. He did not pass the first performance evaluation and thus was eliminated.
II. 2021: Wild Idol
On August 11, 2021, he was introduced as the 22nd contestant of the survival show Wild Idol.
During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 2nd overall, thus making him a member of T.A.N.
