    Airport Goodbyes is a single by WENDY, which was produced by The Black Skirts. The single was released on December 1, 2021.


    II. Background

    The song was initially intended to have a hiphop beat and be sung by a female R&B artist. The genre, however, changed over time, and they had a hard time finding the right singer for it. They got word from someone of SM Entertainment that WENDY had released a solo album. The song came to WENDY. The release took awhile to happen due to constant rearrangements of the song.


    Airport Goodbyes release was revealed on November 23, 2021 with a teaser photo. It was shown that Jo Hyu-il of The Black Skirts would produce it while Wendy would sing it.


    The digital cover art was revealed on November 24.


    The song was finally released on December 1, 2021.
