    Flu (감기) is a 2013 South Korean disaster film written and directed by Kim Sung-su. It stars Soo Ae as Dr. Kim In-hae and Jang Hyuk as Emergency Response Team member, Kang Ji-goo. It chronicles the chaos that happens when there is an outbreak of a fast moving and deadly strain of H5N1 in a city near Seoul.


    Kang Ji-goo meets Dr. Kim In-hae when he saves her from a trapped vehicle after a car crash. They soon find themselves thrown together by circumstance again when he ends up taking care of her daughter during the initial stages of a viral outbreak that quickly sweeps over the city. Soon, hospitals are overrun and the government begins to take extreme measures in an attempt to stem the daily contagion burning through the population. Residents end up facing not only the sickness, but also panic, rioting, violence, and forced quarantines as they attempt to find a way to survive the outbreak.
