Baek Chung Kang

  • I. Introduction:

    Baek Chung Kang is a South Korean singer best known for winning MBC's hit audition program Star Audition: The Great Birth in 2011. His powerful vocals and emotional depth quickly earned him public acclaim, establishing him as one of the standout talents of his season. He officially debuted on April 18, 2012, with the release of his digital single "I Miss You", under Thor Entertainment. He later released his first mini-album "All Night" on June 25, 2012. The project showcased his versatility across genres including ballad, dance, and rock, helping him carve out a unique presence as a solo artist. Baek later signed with FACE Entertainment, continuing to build his career through additional singles, drama OSTs, and live appearances. In 2014, he released his second mini-album 白, followed by a string of digital releases through 2018.


    In late 2018, Baek was diagnosed with rectal cancer, which led to a significant hiatus from his musical activities. After undergoing treatment and making a full recovery, he returned to the spotlight with the single At the End. In 2025, under new management with JNR Entertainment, he made a long-awaited comeback with the release of Closer and Closer, marking his return after more than six years.


    Baek Chung Kang is widely admired not only for his vocal strength and artistic range, but also for his resilience and determination, both personally and professionally.
