PURETTY

  • I. Introduction

Puretty (Korean: 퓨리티) was a South Korean, J-Pop girl group formed by DSP Media. The group debuted in Japan in 2012 through the anime series Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future, where fictionalized versions of the members appeared as the secondary cast, and their songs, "Check it Love" and "Shuwa Shuwa Baby", were used as the series' ending theme songs. Despite plans for them to make their Korean debut, the group disbanded in January 2014, with DSP Media announcing the possibility of its members becoming part of other groups in the future. All the members (except Hye In) appeared in the girl group reality-survival show, KARA Project in hopes of winning a spot in KARA, however no members made it into the group.

    II. After Disbandment

So min joined the original line up of April and debuted with the group in August 2015 but left shortly after in November of the same year. In 2016 she debuted in the co-ed group Kard. Shi Yoon and Chae Kyung appeared in MNET's girl group survival show, Produce 101 as DSP Trainees in 2016, however neither made the final line up. Chae Kyung was officially added to the line up of April in January 2017, with their third mini album release, Prelude.
