I. Introduction
"Midnight Queen" is the first Japanese single released by Hara. It was released in three versions: a limited CD+DVD edition (A), a limited CD+Booklet edition (B), and a regular CD edition. The title track was released digitally ahead of the single on September 25, 2019. Her group KARA would go on to cover the song "Hello" and rerelease it during their 2024 comeback. It would also be stated that "Hello" was originally set to be an KARA song in 2013 for their comeback but that had been scrapped. Hara chose to retain the rights to the song and release it on her 2019 project shortly before her tragic death. The KARA version would use her originally recorded vocals from 2013 instead of the vocals from her solo release of the song.
