If you're talking about 'Moonlight Sunrise' they have the save IRSC code so the streams were most likely combined.
About SMF, MS only had English version.

lol i too thought it was collaboration on brand new songs.
Didn't you watch the teaser you just shared? Lmfao
AKP doesn't mean wtf success stan means. They put that label on me even tho all my groups constantly take Ls. Stanning Gidle since their flop era for them to suddenly score a big hit with Tomboy but end up without a single daesang despite me thinking they had it in my bag(pun intended), Twice flopping for the 3rd time in a row, 4th if you count pre release. Dreamcatcher having a flop tour and trash music.
A smart success stan should stan BTS and keep collecting all the Ws.
i was under the impression that they weren't combined despite having similar codes. but its possible that both songs were not coded the same for it to combine cos I found that Twice SMF is diff from SMF eng version as one is under Republic records and one has both RR and Universal music.--> possibly registered under different codes
Merging of songs suddenly matters to Blinks like OP (yes for those thinking poor Blinks being dragged here unnecessarily Op is a self avowed Blink) because Jimin surpassed Shut Down's day 1 streams with his title track with not a quarter of the playlisting Shut Down had.
Well don't know what is up to but if they are combining then all songs should be combined. Twice was dragged on twitter for poor debut but if they combined it would've been one of their highest debuts. But the song wasn't well received anyway, so idc, hopefully next time they learn from it.
Damn, such a let down. I thought they are literally gonna be composing brand new songs together not a fucking mash up. Not gonna be watching.
were both versions getting good streams?
Good means? They weren't combined, wtf does it even matter.
Twice did it with their English song and it basically did nothing. Doesnt really matter how many you release if people dont buy 1.. Also I think billboard changed their rules after what BTS did.
You really do have comprehensive problem. That's literally what OP is talking about when he says "Twice missed the chance fo combine". Because theirs weren't combined.
spotify does tht themselves when two songs are the same.
it did that for shakira's song (eng+span)
it did that for blackpink's kr/jpn songs
it does that ALL the time for rappers/anyone songs, when they release explicit and clean version
It didn't do it for Twice tho
Another stupid thing we should thank blinks for
it actually shows how playlisting and the new Spotify Discovery are influencing song numbers.
The same with Kai's song, after he was added to Discovery his ULs and streams started to rapidly increase.
I just know that JYP will wait until everyone drags Twice to hell and only then jump in, just like he did with digipacks
BlackPink does it all the time
Stay, Boombayah say hi
I swear there is something about me that just draws in people hunger for arguments. Like I could say the most obvious thing like "milk is white" and they'd come at me with "how do you know, did you color test it?"
who with a functioning brain denied that the music needs to be “good” (ie. be to the liking of many people) for an artist to succeed? there are so many big company groups that fail to have hit songs so only having privilege obviously doesn’t guarantee hits. but that wasn’t what i was addressing. the point i made is that good music isn’t the only thing an artist needs, which is what your posts can be inferred from.
Well, in this case it was No promotion or anything, just a good song and social media did that.
Maybe because it went viral on TT. It’s not always about music it’s all about exposure
It went viral because it is good??
dreamer wants to deny big company privilege so bad and claim good songs are the only thing you need to succeed lol. over the past decade there’ve been no more than a couple dozens nugu kpop songs blowing up/going viral and it’s always due to luck every single time, but dreamer wants you to think there’ve only been a dozen “good” songs released from nugus that deserve to blow up bc nothing else contributes to having hit songs
Nah, the point I was trying to make is entirely different and revolves around the fact that people dragged Twice for the performance of Set Me Free, TTT, Scientists when it is the songs to blame. Yall use your braincells.
Your "big company privelege" can only manage to bring attention to the song, it can't turn it into a hit. Nobody can turn a non hit song into a hit no matter how they tried or how much they promoted it.
ONE nugu song from literally 500,000 nugu songs since Kpop was invented, how are 1/500,000 odds "easy"?
I mean that's literally the norm for the industry?? Millions of songs get released every year, less than 10 become hits. If you go even further and only count ultimate hits, aka the hits that are still remembered after 50 years like Hotel California then it is even less than that.
Yall are literally watching nugu conquer the chart and saying it ain't easy
lmfaoooo girl its not easy for a kpop group, especially a nugu, to chart on hot 100
Then explain a complete nugu charting
Nah, there have been songs that YOU think deserved a place in HOT100, that's different.
this is history omg i hope their company take advantage of this i dont want this group to be just a one hit wonder
But most likely that's what's going to happen. Unfortunately small companies don't know how to react to this kind of shit.
