What are we trying to find a way out of? There is no issue, unless the issue you have is that guild forums don't earn akorns anymore.

This post was never approved or an official stance from me or my company. To be honest, this announcement should have never even been released, as it is one staff members opinion.

Way too many assumptions going on here.

Here are the facts:

- Earnings from guilds were removed because I feel they do not contribute to the overall benefit of the forums or the community. That is the one and only reason. I don't have issues with members sticking to only their guild forums, but if it doesn't benefit the general public, then I didn't think it should be rewarded with Akorns. In addition, I found a lot of the posts to be extremely spammy.

- The forums are a free service, with some paid features and completely up to you, whether to support us or not.

- Yes, the forums aren't a net positive business. With the cost of all of the additional resources allocated to the forums, the all-kill + akorn sales do not create a net positive outcome. Add onto that, all of the ad-block users, and that creates more costs. Either way, I have kept them operational to provide a platform for what I thought to be users who love the forums, so that they can build friendships, relationships and enjoy each others companionship. Perhaps, I was wrong about this, as I am seeing a ton of complaints.

I hope the negativity stops and you all can continue to enjoy the forums and build friendships, as there really isn't a lot of reason to keep things going if everyone hates the place.
