In the 1936 Olympics, the Gold Metal Winner of the Marathons (at that time there were no women's marathons) was a Kitei Son , from the Japanese Empire.
He was an ethnic Chosenite, born in what is now North Korea.
After 1945 he took the name of Son Kijung and lived in South Korea, but since he won the medal as a Japanese national, the IOC still considers him as a Japanese winner, no matter how much Rep of Korea , which did not exist in 1936, tried to change his nationality on record.
Sharon Myoui will always be an American to me since she was a US citizen at debut. If she debuted as a Japanese I would consider her as such but since she debuted as an American I will always call her Sharon.
Sunmi (Sun was the surname, Mi was the name) took the surname of her stepfather and now goes as Lee Sunmi but no one other than her family calls her such . The same logic applies to Kwon Nara, Lee Miju and others who changed their names mid-career .
Except she debuted as a Japanese too, she had double nationality. So
-
Who's Sharon?
Mina's English name, that user likes to consider her an American when she gave up the nationality a few years ago

Yes, but my question would be...why not have all of that and domestic charting too? It's not one or the other.
The issue is the people selecting and working on the songs are so out of touch with the current status quo in SK and no one wants to move them on. Having better songs will also only help them grow in fanbase and thus touring and album sales too.
Of course, it would be ideal, but sometimes I do feel like SK & global taste are so different.. in my opinion JYP is more thinking about the concept too, instead of the sound
-
Not unless they have a serious internal look at where they are going wrong. One group not doing well domestically is okay, but when you 4 or 5 active groups failing in their home market that can't be blamed on any one group...it's a company issue.
Maybe it's because the company focus on international fanbases which brings in more money, albums sales & touring >>>>> Korean charting
In which case they will not even think there is an issue

I don't like this
If they had renewed why wait? So...
-
I swear if YG did this bc she didn't renew I'll curse them

What about the ones he didn't produce, how did they do in comparison?
Better or much better?
There's not the gap that you think
JYP as a producer for Twice is : only one with 2 songs above 300k Spotify steams - most watched Twice MV (potentially fan favorite), possibly most viral too - most music shows win - most songs with daesang - most successful Twice song in Japan (their only double-platinum). BEP has the upper hand for Korean charting but they never actually tried a non-typical Twice sound (well it's fair since they basically created it) or worked with Twice in the second part of their career - there too, JYP has the latest most successful song in terms of charting (Alcohol-Free).
In short, the guy knows what he is doing, at least when he works with Twice.
