It's said Kakao was investigated due to suspected embezzlement, paying company's profit to chairman's family members and not to shareholders and, the S.M deal possibly would benefit some individuals and not Kakao the company. I read that Lee Sooman wanted to sell his shares for like 30k won each when each share of S.M should worth 20k considering the company business value.
Even if this deal be prohibited due to monopoly concern, LSM can still sell his shares wholly to a smaller entertainment company or any big company outside of entertainment industry to avoid monopoly. But, he will not get the price he wants.

I think it's very different to think of it from a camera point of view, than from a stage point of view. Since the camera will only be focusing on Dayeon, it will be zooming in to just her. In that case extra movement or even just extra people in the background like you're describing can be distracting and detract from the solo, instead of adding to it.

I think the probelm is this - for China, you can target the country and reap all the sales/rewards, while for the SEA countries, you have to target several countries so come up with a relatively similar amount of sales. So there is a lot more time/effort/cost involved to come up with the same profit as opposed to just concentrating on one target.
