Didn't they had the royal concept for this comeback? I'm a bit lost but this sounds nothing that will go with a royal concept lol
-
Fearless is super boring, mine between this 4 is Eleven, Loco > NL < Fearless
-
Eleven at 16 monthly after 7 months is crazy omg

I mean the crowd seems to be enjoying it, plus I think there's been a lot of discussion about how they've actually improved.
I would say winter and Karina do pretty well and have improved. The issue IMO, is a lack of synchronization and group presence if that makes sense?
i actually think Winter is by far the weakest in term of stage presence and thats because she almost always look bored on stage, like she was forced to be there

this extensions dear god, SM badly need better hair stylist, this is the work of a amateur

It is?? I thought they were talking about all top groups or something
I guess it makes sense looking at the 3 singles thinf
lol same, i spend some time to understand what this means and what she/he is talking about

even if they lie about their height and weight most of them clearly look underweight
the average weight for females in sk are actually almost 60 kg so there's a huge difference between idols' weight and bmi compared to non-celebs and idols' weight aren't normal at all
I think people use underweight or unhealthy way to easy, we don't know them, we didn't saw their medical records, you can be skinny and healthy, like the other person said, BMI is useless until you know their real height/weight, which we don't, lets not speak that weight tend to change over time

NCT is one of the most popular groups. Their KR fanbase can make them chart so why it should be different internationally especially when they do quite well on YouTube
because their international fanbase is not so big, you need like 870k filtered streams daily to get into spotify global and a big part of their fanbase stay somewhere else where spotify isn't used as much (like i said Korea and China), they do have fans in SEA and Japan but is not enough to stream like BTS which has a bigger fanbase internationally and casual stans
-
In Korea Spotify is nugu, China uses their own platforms however Japan and SEA are the biggest contributors in streams, it’s represent +60% of their total streams for some groups.
Personally, I don’t doubt their sales it’s clear they have a big fanbase. But when a group sell 200k albums you don’t expect them to chart like drake, NCT are million sellers so people expect them to pull decent numbers. A sale doesn’t mean one stream but if you have a big fanbase who can make you chart high the first few hours on melon, you expect the same energy for international stats.
For example when BTS were million sellers for the first time, they were among the most streamed artists in the world.
fanbase is different from public recognition, i can't believe some people still don't know this, i think talks about this are since 2nd gen lmao, fans aren't the only ones which bring this numbers in BTS case, they have public recognition.
Same way is reverse too, there are artists which get a lot of streams but sell far less albums.

You are wrong
i said Korea and China don't use spotify but i do understand why it was misunderstood. it was 2 sentences
NCT Dream were always more popular in asia, especially Korea, China, SEA, Japan.
Korea and China don't even use spotify.

They are pretty mid tier I think. I know their sales seem to be doing well, and I feel like people at least know them. Which is a good thing.
There is a lot of potential so I think eventually they'll find their stride. Find something that works. In kpop, I feel it's easy to expect a group to be doing well from the getgo, when in reality, some might get attention a bit later. So I'm hoping they will blow up soon.
i wouldn't call them mid tier, groups like Fromis, Loona or Billlie are mid tier, their last album sold 36k which is a small amount for today's industry sales, which is a shame, Zombie has been on repeat for months

spotify has 180 million users like why wouldn't be important if we speak about internarional popularity but has no relevance to album sales.
And why does Melon FIRST HOUR even matter lmao, NCT Dream were always more popular in asia, especially Korea, China, SEA, Japan, Korea and China don't even use spotify
