It’s an extremely difficult industry. BTS was extremely lucky and released the right content at the right time and blew up internationally.
Lisa is a solo act, an idol coming from kpop, which is still a genre that many Westerners refuse to take seriously.
So while I don’t think she doesn’t deserve superstar status, I think it’s simply improbable due to the barriers stacked against her.

Children and young women shouldn't be in the limelight facing public and private scrutiny for abusive business practices. The adults in their lives are failing them. They shouldn't have to put up with mistreatment, while they also shouldn't have to worry about being blacklisted from the industry if they speak out.

League of Legends is based on a world-buiding created for the game and the characters (the players play with) have a whole background.
Arcane is a Netflix show based on some of these characters' stories.

You are correct but your wording is a bit off!
League is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game, 5 players versus 5 players. There are over 160 characters you can choose to play. These characters, like you say, each have unique backgrounds, though many characters have intertwined stories. These stories from Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko, etc inspired Arcane! -
Stray Kids is definitely profitable, especially with their tours.

I think if viewing it from a business/career perspective, it seems like a pretty bad decision. But looking at it from a human perspective, it's really the only choice that makes sense. I would not expect anyone who appears to be as uncomfortable as the NJs members are in their workplace to remain there. At least that is how I feel, as I've learned in my career that not hating my life everyday is worth more than even a 50-100k salary increase.
I definitely agree with your point. I think some people may be concerned that if MHJ is truly as shady as some articles suggest, that NewJeans would also be put in a bad position if they go with her.
So I suppose some people are worried that it's a lose-lose situation, and I admit I am a bit worried about that too.

I think it's definitely possible to be supportive and empathetic towards NewJeans while also being skeptical of MHJ. Being skeptical of or being outright against MHJ does NOT automatically mean someone is on HYBE's side. This is a very complicated issue that is, for some people, not as black and white as people say. It varies on what people truly want to happen after all of this.
Personally, I'm not a fan of MHJ and find many things that she has done to be rather odd. I am also against HYBE for their blatant mistreatment.
I understand why NewJeans made that video, if I were them I'd probably do the same. But does that mean it was the right decision? I don't know yet. I can see arguments as to why it was a good or at least an acceptable decision, but I can also understand the arguments as to why it wasn't. Because it's not black and white - we don't know what is going to happen until it happens, we don't know what's going to be revealed until it is revealed. We cannot see their past or their future, we can only speculate.
With the most important thing that needs to be done - supporting the girls themselves - I don't think it's productive to be at each other's throats and accuse each other of being against NewJeans or unempathetic or call out other fandoms because certain groups of them are being nasty.
People will always be nasty. It is KPop we're talking about. Actually, it's the entertainment industry we're talking about. Does that make any of the hate and harassment okay? NO! But that is the crappy, unfortunate reality of the world we live in.

There are times when defense of an artist is definitely necessary, but many times KPop stans don't know how to properly or even want to maturely defend their artist, they want to use it as an excuse to snap back at the artist of the fan that sent hate to their favorite artist. So unproductive and outright pointless. Simply making more and more hate.
Ok I rambled and got off topic but my point still stands. I think everyone arguing with each other needs to chill out because at the end of the day, this situation is out of our hands going beyond spreading awareness and sending our love and support to NewJeans. And if you don't want to send love and support to NewJeans, then stop trying to create more tension.
