Yes. They're called idols so fans idolize them. Of course every fandom has people of different personalities, but have you noticed why certain fandoms care about success way more than others? Why certain fandoms care about fashion? Why certain fandoms keep brag about their idols being rich/ came from nothing compared to others? Why certain fandoms are more "woke" compared to others? Some fandoms think smoking weed, underage drinking is not a huge deal compared to other fandoms? Idols have some influence to a certain degree.

Another excuse:
"It happened a long time ago, in elementary, in middle school..."

I'm not commenting on those allegations as being true or false, it's just that some people here downplay said allegations as normal, not bullying say a lot about some aspect of certain allkpop users.

My country is really small and is being affected because of China's aggressiveness. They fight with every neighbor country, and go look up the nine dash line they're claiming, it's ridiculous. I can understand her a bit if she posts it on weibo, she chooses to post on instagram herself, and y'all say people cannot be mad at her, she's a puppet and sh*t. She chooses it herself to post on instagram. F*ck the whole black and white some of you trying to spin, once you're part of a small country seeing a big country trying to take over your country land and potentially your country, you'll understand why people are mad at her.
It's even more ridiculous that some people on twitter even spin it as some western propaganda to hate on China. F*ck Chinese government, whoever support it and people who defend this thing.

International kpop fans are more passionate at trending, spamming and cancelling than western pop star fans. People will shield her and she won't get canceled.

I saw her in 2013 in Kcon. Krystal was my bias but Sulli just hit different. She was probably the most beautiful SM idol. Back then, ifans used to underrate her especially during debut days since she was the visual of the group. Other members are beautiful too but people just cannot compare tv appearance/edited photos with real life appearance.

All 3 of them and Wonder Girls' Nobody. TVXQ was really big in SEA, especially during 2007-2009. Their fans were probably the most hardcore. Rain was big with his dancing skill and a drama named Full House with Song Hye Kyo. And of course SJ with massive hit Sorry Sorry in 2009.
If you ask about what actually paved the way for Hallyu wave, it was a lot earlier than that with Kdramas in late 90s to early 2000s like Star in my heart, Autumn in my heart, Winter Sonata... -

SM used to be the leader of kpop, whether it's about domestic market, or how to appeal to Asian countries. Now, they're just out of touch with reality. I know 2016 and the whole THAAD thing messed up their plan, but now they can't even promote WayV, created the mess that is SuperM and thought Americans would accept random dudes called "kpop avengers". They somehow abandon Japanese market for their new gen groups. The company that had TVXQ and BoA being on top in Japan, H.O.T. and EXO with the huge Hallyu Wave in China, Super Junior in South America and SEA, SNSD being nation's girlgroup. Now in every market, east or west, SM just doesn't lead and have that magic touch anymore.
