valentino and bottega are doing the best. valentino is going all out for yoongi and bv is getting so much buzz with joon, their collections are very popular right now

Actually I saw a poll yesterday telling that Jin was the most popular there.
Anyway it’s important to remind that they are all doing this with 2 photobook versions + 1 Weverse version. Only Weverse for Hobi. 2 versions no weverse for Jin, 1 photobook version and 1 postcard version no weverse for RM.
And I still haven’t bought my DDay album yet.
2 photobook/CD and 1 weverse is the winning combo. I hope all the solos from now on will have this, including RM4

Good things come to people who wait. I'm so happy rn we already got over that era to enter chapter 2. Solo albums are indeed needed seeing them serving masterpiece after one another. I feel so blessed as an Army now
We made it It's truly hard to watch your favorite group stumble so bad, but it's also sweet to see them get their mojo back

BTS wasted the last two years of their career not releasing this kind of music. i don't care, i don't care. RM and now Jimin's albums especially are exactly what I knew they were capable of, and I'm glad I didn't drop them because now I know for sure I was right. Congrats Jimin on a successful debut.

blop, i don't think it's bad, but i don't know if i'll listen to it again

They have the biggest gg fandom in the US obviously Not GP popular, but big fandom.

underperforming based on what? there's only a handful of soloist idols, male and female, that top the charts consistently and most of them are years into their career. bts members are debuting as soloists and they make it on the chart, which is more than most idol soloists can say (and boygroups in general). as always, doomposts like these are going to be so funny in 5ish years, when all the members are established as soloists.

indigo only had 1 cd, 1 weverse (and eventually 1 vinyl)
face has 3 album versions- the two CD versions and 1 weverse (4 when counting the eventual vinyl) not even counting CD versions of the single. i think this will be the norm going forward. Weverse albums/digipacks bulk up sales, but they'll never replace CD versions which sell more.
She adopted from the KPOP playbook lol
I hate how Billboard will say TS is catering to fans and this is a collector’s item type but for KPOP groups, they will say it is to inflate sales when we all know it’s both true.
billboard kissing her ass for having multiple versions and treating BTS like scams for the same tactics is so racist. period point blank

next year's list will be interesting

Rapline has been releasing solo stuff for years and even promoted their work on different occasions but fandom has always supported it as an ot7 activity, this is the first time we'll be seeing VL doing some solo activity and some of yall are already threatened. Especially ml, they get bare minium and yall start to scream favouritism.
nobody really believes that but ok
ever since the hiatus started, everyone's been going on and on about how much more ml is going to sell, and hybe is now doing what they can to faciliate that bc they want that $$$. and this promo schedule today just proves that
-
lol So suddenly they know how to do everything right when it's maknae line release. Meanwhile Hoseok's album still has no distribution...
lbr i'm not surprised at all they got it together for a ml release and are treating it like a BTS release. hybe is predictable as hell in some ways. that being said, i'm happy for jimin, this is a typical kpop rollout for an album, with proper time for preorders and shipping
-
i wish they would leave but realistically, there's no better company for them in SK (as evidenced by this SM fiasco) and they're loyal to hybe, even though they deserve like 20 times more than they've ever gotten from that crappy ass company
best case scenario, they eventually form a subsidiary to take care of the group and their solo careers and get control of their masters
-
i know it's gonna be sexy and i'm ready

Twice is goals for a kpop group tbh. they get to do the music they want on their terms now and their fanbase seems to be growing in the US and Japan. They can have a long career if they want it and it's really cool to see that from a gg
