I know it is a stupid thought
but should HYBE have all the right to remove MHJ ? Why did they need board permission ?
They need the Board to call Shareholder's Meeting, so that shareholders can vote and if Board refuses they make the court call it.

TPHF Btw a compromise seems unlikely cause Hybe was also supposedly mad at her for demanding higher compensation. So seems like she could be fired if they have strong grounds and think they can win an ensuing wrongful termination lawsuit. Given the current scenario a rapprochement between Bang and her seems impossible. Hybe did not even give a damn as to how it would affect their shares, they want her out.
Display MoreMore detailed info about MHJ sending complaints to Hybe about Illit:
It was on the 3rd of this month that New Jeans' agency, Adore, began sending protest emails to its parent company, Hive. It has been about a week since ILLIT , a new girl group from Hive's other label, Belif Lab, debuted on the 25th of last month. Shin Dong-hoon, Vice President of Adore, sent a message to Hive CEO Park Ji-won and Belif Lab CEO Kim Tae-ho, saying, “We hope for a quick response as we urgently need to take appropriate action for plagiarizing the choreography and copying the concept without the consent of the subsidiary.”
It was on the 16th that Adore CEO Min Hee-jin came forward in person. CEO Min sent an email to not only Hive CEO Park Ji-won, but also Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and CEO of Hive America's Scooter Braun, directly criticizing Aylet's 'copying of New Jeans'. He wrote, “Is Hive’s attitude of protesting against the long-standing irrationality of the entertainment industry at the time of its founding true by continuing to have a shameless attitude of turning a blind eye?” and adding, “I criticize Hive-style management that causes conflicts of interest between subsidiaries.”

Noticed that some kmedia mentioned Mr. A as Mr Shin so I wonder if it's Shin Dong-Hoon.
Why is this tweet saying back and forth happened in March itself regarding Illit?
If it was just Mr A. personal thoughts that he typed in that doc, then how did Hybe knew about it through the tip off? He would have had to share it with at least somebody else. Why would he even want to type down the thoughts he had about Ador breaking way? It's not something I can see an ordinary worker type down in a doc at their workplace. They must not have much to do then lol. Of course he is no ordinary worker, as he's very much at the top of Ador's leadership and was transfered from Hybe's financial department. For this evidence Hybe would just need to prove that other people have seen this doc as well. If they find out about it being shared with external actors then Mr A's confession just set him up for court.
Did they find it on his laptop or PC during audit?
Hybe would not make such serious allegations without evidence...it is exactly what they have been saying that they have found suspicious documents on a Mr A's computer and that is exactly what it is.
Next is to be seen if they can pin those acts of abuse on MHJ, if they have solid evidence of that too.
Although, who would trust anyone that young
Ves and mod team should check this one out for a possible alt
No one cares whether hybe is right or not they just care that no one debuting under that company can benefit from bts money and leave. NJ ows their career and money to hybe. They either stop being celebraties or become thieves/traitors of hybe and bts money. Let's be real most idols are replaceble and nj and illit are no different their success is money they owe. Even with mhj at most they would have been stayc level and they certaintly couldn't have afforded all their mv daniells little mermaid...etc. All hybe artist have a debt they must pay and is more than just money. It certaintly looks bad to me to leave. Then again most people most rather not pay taxes when you country or state literally gave you free money to study for free. But at least hope we can all agree that there's an obligation to pay back debt and to pass things on and make it better for future people like yourself. Point is all hybe groups after bts got a lot of free stuff and it wasn't subpar cheap education, housing or food. They probably got more then they deserved as hybe's future investments.
Newbie Army troll who talks like Tatiana...hmmm

NH Investment: “Even if Adore leaves Hive, the impact will be limited. BTS will make a comeback as a whole next year.”

Business Post] It is expected that Hive's performance will not be significantly affected despite the controversy over the management of Adore, New Genes' agency and affiliate label, attempting to become independent. Even if we assume that New Genes leaves Hive’s artists, there are already a variety of other artists that support Hive’s performance.
Lee Hwa-jeong, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, maintained Hive's target stock price at 310,000 won and investment opinion at BUY on the 23rd. Researcher Lee said, “Hive detected circumstances such as an attempt by Adore management to seize management rights, so it exercised its right to audit Adore and requested a general meeting of shareholders,” adding, “Even if the activities of New Genes, Adore’s main artist, are suspended in the second half of this year, “The impact on this year’s performance will be limited.” It was discovered that on the 22nd, Hive detected an attempt by Adore's management to seize management rights, exercised its right to audit Adore, and requested a general meeting of shareholders to replace the board of directors. It is reported that the general shareholders' meeting will demand the resignation of Adore CEO Min Hee-jin.
Hive sent an audit questionnaire containing the above information to Adore, and the deadline for response was reported to be the afternoon of the 23rd. Of course, Hive is the largest shareholder with 80% of Adore's shares, and can file a provisional injunction to hold a general shareholders' meeting as the largest shareholder regardless of Adore's response. If a preliminary injunction application is filed, it is expected that it will take up to two months until the general shareholders' meeting. In relation to this, Adore is said to have denied attempts to take over management rights, pointing out that the real problem is that Eyelet, a new member of Belif Lab, another subsidiary of Hive, copied the concept of New Genes. Even if Adore leaves Hive, it is expected that there will be little impact on Hive's performance.
Adore was estimated to have contributed about 11% to Hive's operating profit as of 2023. This year, with the resumption of New Genes activities, it is expected to account for 14% of Hive's operating profit in 2024. This is reflected in the fact that New Jeans, Adore's representative artist, is scheduled to release three albums in 2024, a full-length album in the second half of the year, and two performances at Tokyo Dome in Japan. However, as BTS enters full-length activities starting in 2025, Adore's influence within Hive is expected to further decrease. Researcher Lee said, “From a mid- to long-term perspective, Hive already has a lineup of BTS, Seventeen, TXT, Enhyphen, and Le Seraphim,” and added, “In addition, with the success of newcomers Aillet and Tours, damage to the mid- to long-term growth engine is limited.” I looked ahead. I think both BANG and MHJ should step down. The shareholders should kick MHJ for being shady and Bang for making this public and damaging the company itself.
Him and his cousin own more than 50% of Hybe, that ain't happening
From one Sean Bean fantasy epic to another one for a new name
I think what's important now (for Hybe) is not MHJ leaving but MHJ leaving and taking away New Jeans (the IPs, song copyrights and members) as well.
If it's Ador that own everything then it's easy for Hybe to claim it back because they have the majority share (80%)
But if MHJ personally has the songs' copyrights (which i assume she does because she's their A&R also executive producer who personally picked the songs), it would be impossible to Hybe to claim them which might result in New Jeans members deciding to follow her otherwise they will lose their identity and start over again. And I don't think Hybe would love starting over again with the girls either.
See there is one very important change in Korean law that we are not taking into account. If a group leaves, they can take their copyright with them under Korean law but if their case is strong. So there is a possibility that NJNS do walk out with MHJ and take their copyright with them. We keep talking about MHJ and Bang or Ador vs Hybe but Newjeans hold the trump card IMO at the end of it all about who wins this battle.
double post
You two got it. No, neither Le Sserafim nor ILLIT will be the ones profiting from this. Definitely 100% IVE. If NJ would have to disband, after a few months of grief, my way to cope w it would be stanning IVE too
Wow, you all really move so fast from one gg to another
I think Ador owns it, not Hybe. I remember when they were getting that JK logo trademarked it was in the name of Big Hit Music and Jungkook
So I would assume it would be same for other sub-labels too. If Ador has the IP and MHJ owns 20% of Ador it is going to be a legal battle for Hybe to get rid of her stake in it, or they let it be and let her earn the royalties too. Actually I was thinking how her 20% shareholding in Ador will still remain even if they throw her out as CEO and that may make things uncomfortable for Hybe so there is a possibility if they are being super petty that they close down Ador and liquidate its assets and maybe shift NJNS to another sub-label...but even that could end up in major lawsuits with MHJ protesting against it
Every Hybe group fandom is blaming MHJ for leaks or negative press now, true or not we will never know but Hybe group fandoms are super paranoid about her now, more so with how she threw Illit under the bus so ruthlessly.
Hybe by releasing that tidbit about her leaking info related Hybe artists with a negative intent to kmedia, have made sure that all Hybe group fandoms are united against MHJ
Queen MHJ invented long black hair
Didn’t Danielle say they had dinner with MHJ and some dude that she didn’t know? What if MHJ was having dinner with a future investor and she wanted to them to the girls
The key players here are also the girls. IMO, if MHJ gets kicked out and they leave with her they will be self sabotaging like 50 50. They should be smart and stay put in Hybe, which has the money, connections and power to get an adequate enough replacement for MHJ for them. Hopefully their parents are thinking strategically and smartly cause their parents may well end up being the main decision makers who make or break their daughters' careers.
