Lucas before you know . . . Ten too tho because he's such an amazing dancer
-
agh I was hoping for some sort of announcement today, looks like we have to wait for NCT yet again
-
whats ur top 5?
1. EXO (by a lot)
2. Block B
3 -5. Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, Twice idk which order I'd put them in tho. Gugudan would be my #3 all-time but they've disbanded.

not this narrative again fx and RV did not hit it off in their first year neither did SNSD
that's a long time ago tho lol, it is an interesting coincidence at least. And Happiness and Ice Cream Cake, Into the New World, Kissing You were still all hit songs just not in the conversation for THE hit song. But Twice/BP/Itzy/and now aespa have all done it (and I.O.I. did too with a JYP produced song).

I think there is a negative 10% chance of a exo subunit.
Ksoo has back to back movies.
That leaves Kai Minseok Sehun and any of this combination while possible feels highly improbable consider SC and CBX already exist.
We have KJI2 before year end for sure as well. So where’s time for a subunit 👀
that's how I feel but the rumor has come up like 6 times this year, including 2 times in the last week all from different sources

I meant new EXO unit lol, there's lots of rumors going around twitter about one. It could be an OT4 Winter album with no promotions I guess tho. None of the other combinations make any sense, except maybe EXO-XS, but even then Xiumin said he was working on a solo and both of them are already in other sub-units so idk.

maybe I should clarify here - when I say a week of promos, I mean actively promoting on music shows/interview shows. I’m not counting the preorder/promo teasers period. This was just in contrast to groups doing 2-3 laps on the music show circuit.
I agree that SM’s promotions of EXO over the past few years have been exceptionally shit. Even beyond my opinion as a fan, I don’t understand it from a business perspective. NCT has built a solid fanbase, but the exponential growth over the last two years certainly shows the benefit of robust promotions. So with EXO’s larger fanbase, SM could be seeing additional growth, particularly with SuperM serving its role as gateway to other SM groups. For a company focused on making money, they leave a lot of stupid money on the table.
(Like having a showcase on YT/Twt as they have for all the other groups). But then I’ve never understood their logic on EXO promotions beyond there is none.
Since the original schedule got shot to hell, I’m not sure what to expect here honestly.
I mean I would happily take a week of promos on music/variety shows . Baekhyun/D.O./DFTF all had no promotions whatsoever this year. At least when Kai drops his album he probably will promote again like he did with Mmmh.

In Korea definitely Jimin, but overall for sure V. V has the biggest fanbases in Japan and China and the second biggest in the U.S. and SK. Going by google is dumb because google is banned in China and isn't the most popular search engine in Japan or Korea which are the three biggest markets of theirs.

I also think it’s unlikely but it is doable. All it takes is an open week for promos. (Obvs the promo period can last longer but that seems to be the MO for sub units and solos.)
lol if we get even a week of promos I'd be shocked, I wish that was the MO for EXO. Idk EXO is in this terrible spot where they're popular enough that they're rarely if ever slipped in between other groups with their solos (like with the Shinee, RV, and SJ solo/unit releases) they always get their own spotlight and time to drum up pre-orders and make that easy profit for SM (at least this year Baekhyun/EXO/D.O. were clearly the big attractions of their allotted time slots), but they're last on the list of groups that do get said spotlight. It almost seems to be given begrudgingly to them.
NCT and aespa always get priority over them. Like NCT and aespa's plans were clearly outlined in that halfway point SM Congress or whatever but EXO-Ls didn't get even a hint of what to expect. I'm sure SM will just push them to next year or postpone it indefinitely if they feel it'll interfere with NCT 2021 in some way, or if they decide to release that WayV album after all.

Stan:
Fan:
- Block B
- AKMU
listened to all their music and am always excited for new releases
- Red Velvet
- Twice (once was a big fan, but not as into their musical direction post-2018. Nayeon is my favorite not EXO-member idol by far)
- SNSD
- Weki Meki
- STAYC
I like Oh My Girl and Brave Girls a lot too but haven't heard a good chunk of their back catalogue.
I'm also a fan of a bunch of non-idol Korean artists and I was a fan of I.O.I. and Gugudan before both disbanded

where's the source tho

They have always been able to buy albums.. they just can't go overboard in terms of fund raising.
Also I noticed on weibo that NingNing has a bunch of smaller groups outside of the main bar bulk buying albums as well. That might be a result of not making the bars too big or eye catching.
that's good to hear! It's so ridiculous that people should be blocked from supporting artists they care about.
-
because it had a lot of downloads, DCM was in the Gaon weekly top 10 for over a month, Hot Sauce had the one week at #1 and then fell out of the top 10 the next week
-
so have the bars found a way around the new laws then?
-
Still wow
How did you learn? I find the alphabet stressfull.
just being forced to practice it in order to read menus whenever I would order food which was every day lol, it's actually not that bad because the letters always have the same sound no matter the order they're in (except for a few exceptions with the vowels that are always the same pretty much).

twitter is a mess rn
about Raiden?
