I'm not sure she'll ever even have a solo concert, JYP already lost all the momentum from Pop taking so long for a follow-up.

who is Soyeon's mom in this analogy? And who is the biological dad?

Is 260 albums on Hanteo for first day sales not starting from the bottom?
CLC never made a profit, similarly Lightsum. Their new BG also didn't make a splash. If Cube was such a big company that guarantees all the funding and success, why don't they have any successful act since 2nd Gen other than Idle?
Does it matter that Cube is 'not a small company' when the market valuation gap between them and JYP is like 10X? Yeah, they used to have moderately successful groups in the past - companies fortunes can go up and down. DSP used to be part of the big three - they had Finkl, SS501, Kara, etc. If DSP debuted a group that became one of the top groups of their generation, are people going to use the same argument "DSP isn't a small company! They were right behind the big 3, they had blah blah blah legendary acts a decade ago" like????
I don't disagree with your overall point, but this is BTOB erasure lol. They were killing it late 2016-2018 (then enlistment and Ilhoon's scandal knocked them back down to mid-tier).
But yeah, Cube isn't even close to the Big 4. They're a solidly midtier company at best (nowadays Idle is carrying them on their back).

I do have a controversial question for Neverlands...i know y'all are jumping for joy after this charting performance and for good reason, this run is recordbreaking already, just like what happened with Bluebeard last year (the most successful B side since Forever Young). If they were to get #1 on Melon Daily and then stay for a whole week on top, it would be the first time a Kpop B side reached #1 on Melon Weekly afaik.
But my question is...do you personally actually like the song? It's nowhere near what's trendy for Kpop or even pop in general. Or are you just hyping it up because of the charting
The First Snow reached #1 on Melon Weekly the last week of December 2023

this can't be I was told they were flopping

I saw this post get retweeted a lot back in December:

If this is correct then that would put EXO at 120-21 music show wins (depending if Power had 5 or 6 wins (I personally remember 5, but some claim 6)). It doesn't include any supposed awards on 5/16/2014 or 5/23/2014.

it's lists like this that really put it in perspective how much more popular BTS and BP are than everyone else. It can be hard to see outside of one's own bubble sometimes.

It's their best selling album ever and Fate is currently #3 on the Melon Daily Chart. It's fair to say Super Lady was a flop, but the comeback as a whole hasn't been. Especially if Fate continues to gain in ULs like it has been doing over the course of the last week.

wrong - NCT Dream, their fandom is probably the 2nd biggest in SK, I never thought they would get that huge, even if it is mostly fandom power. I also never saw Seventeen getting so huge worldwide. ITZY seemed like the future too at one point.
right - NewJeans, Lsfm, TXT; all the HYBE groups I knew would do well. Although I didn't expect NewJeans to do this well lol. I also thought SKZ would never resonate with the SK gp but ifans would eat them up, and that seems true so far.

I've bought all of EXO's albums, and almost all of the solos (not Chen's first, I'm sorry king; I eventually grew to like it . . .). For Obsession/DFTF/Exist I bought about 15 copies of each and the same goes for D.O.'s solo albums. But I just gave away all of them (except one copy for me) to students.
I live in Korea, so the shipping is like $2 in total (for all albums combined, not per album) and I get fanbase discounts on top of that, so I can buy around 15 albums without going over $100. Music and reading are my hobbies, and I usually just read books that are in the public domain on my kindle (books in the public domain are free). So spending "a lot" on albums is my only real hobby expense.

Seventeen had the second best selling album of 2019 before HYBE bought Pledis, they had just broken through (in terms of being like an A-List bg) and were on a clear upward trajectory. With EXO enlisting and having their "scandals" and all the 4th gen bgs not resonating with the Korean GP, it was kind of the perfect set of circumstances for 17 to make their rise. Maybe they would have sold a few less albums under just Pledis, but I think they would have still been the #2 boy group and won some daesangs.

I love her tone, I want another solo album from her

the first music bank stage of Love Me Right back in 2015, I already liked EXO and was a fan, but they were just so charming in that performance and D.O. hit that high note in the bridge and there was no going back
-
hmm I think they'll be up there but it's hard to see anyone catching BP. Even for all NewJeans' success last year they still were outstreamed by an inactive BP (in terms of releasing music).
-
he got me D.O.'s autograph lol
-
I think pretty much everyone is dragging them, not just SM stans

I voted for Just as Usual . . . not a super popular song among EXO-Ls, but that was my comfort song during the covid years.
Also, I kinda wanna see a song that has never been performed live. However, Obsession I would be more than happy if it won because seeing Ksoo and Xiu perform it (with the group) would be great.
