Thought I was the only one who noticed the forum seems worse than usual lately, haven't been active for a while so it's pretty shocking. Some people are taking things to far, throwing insults at people, harassing people, kpop is really not that deep to go this far.

Doesn't really mean much, their stocks are probably gonna rise again with a BB, BP, Treasure or BP solo comeback. Stocks are bit more complicated than that.

This was so cute, I really loved them on this show

Apparently some of them were exposed as not actually being TREASURE fans. One of big trolls in the OP apparently didn't know the difference between Asahi and Mashiho.
A tale as old as twitter: disguising yourself as a fan of a group and trolling to make that fan base look bad.
I hope YG artists won't use it. First, because they don't need it Second, because it seems like a more toxic version of Twitter.
Speaking of which, as there is a standing rule to not post Twitter drama here, the same should apply to weverse.
Weverse is way less toxic than twitter, they immediately ban you if get too many reports on posts. People be claiming it's more toxic without even opening the app.

Kings, they have grown so much in India in the last year.

and then?
can they ban free speech if it isnt blatant hate?
Depends if it can fall under propaganda I think, especially with this topic.

It's more than being historically inaccurate tho. One of the issues I've seen being mentioned by koreans is the fact that the dictator and his party to this day claim that they killed all those students because they were North Korean spies (which is why it's still so sensitive). So if the rumoured plot of the drama is gonna involve an actual North Korean spy as an activist, it's very like gonna be used as propaganda by his party. + the fact that they are using the names of real people too.
-
Gonna post this here too for people who are confused what they are pissed about:
I'm not korean so I'll just explain what I read from koreans what the outrage is about. It's rumoured to be about the protests in the 1980s, where peaceful and innocents protestors (students) were massacred and tortured by the Korean national security officials under the pre tense that they were north korean spies. One of the biggest issues is that they are rumoured to be using real names of real people during the massacre, like the student Jisoo is supposedly playing is called Yeong - Cho, one of the people who saw her friends getting tortured and killed was known to be very smart and intelligent battling against the guards and apparently the drama made her a damsel in distress. They are also painting the peaceful protestors in a negative light by making the main characer an actual north korean spy and painting it so that the national korean guard were right in killing those students. One of the main characters is also part of the korean guards that killed so many students and he's postively portrayed as a handsome male lead.
I'm not korean so I can't really speak on it but apparently the whole incident is still very sensitive for koreans because of how recent it was. It's best that they change things tho if they want to continue this program, idk why JTBC thought it was a good idea.

Man, they are dragging this on longer than I thought. I mean it's already cancelled.

What's wrong with Snowdrop can someone enlighten?

These are rumours about the plot tho, so nothing is confirmed but there is a lot of outrage about it everywhere on korean sites rtn and a sponsor is pulling out. If it's true, it's best that they make some changes. It's also dumb that the actors are getting hate when the biggest issue lies with the director and writer.
Edited it because I had some information wrong.

tbh if the rumours about the plot of the drama are indeed true, it is really questionable. Here is the perspective of a Korean on why there is such an outrage and why it's very offensive:

If japan comeback is in june then when we'll be getting the korean one
Also what are they gonna perform at BBMAs in May? They can't perform Dynamite again, they already did when it was held in October last year. I'm so confused but excited now Unless they do LGO? And a korean album in July - August?

Yeah Blinding Lights was honestly robbed. Blinding Light and Your Eyes were some of my favourite tracks this year. ROM, I hated the moment it came out since I do like Ariana's music generally but that song was just bad imo, really outdated. Exile wasn't my fav either but I could see why it could win. And Dyna was ofc my fav of the list.

this is so nerve wracking, i'm shivering
