It's going to work, and the world will be turned upside down". MHJ then adds that "the best thing is that Hybe comes in and offers a compromise to prevent such big bad news" *info shared by TV Daily

What will it achieve other than few more days at ador for mhj? Also her staff will get fired even if she gets the new petition in, right?

I don't see how it could change things but perhaps there is another way that can delay it.

No matter the outcome of the injunction, Hybe should be able to remove the other directors on Ador's board and replace them with their own people. If MHJ wins the injunction she will keep her position for now but the balance of power at Ador will be drastically changed. Before she controled the whole board but then it would be 2 Hybe people versus her. Hybe probably could then not make any major decisions yet for Ador but neither can MHJ anymore. So hard to say who the real winner and loser would be in that scenario.

This seems to have gone under the radar, but the court files show that another lawyer tried to participate in the injunction trail. Lawyer Jeon Byung-woo from Kim & Jun Law Firm who specializes in management rights dispute apparently cited he held a position of interest in the case as a third party. The court however declined his request which he then appealed. He also handed in a petition today.

There is some speculation from Korean netizens that he will replace MHJ's current lawyers (who might have lost faith in the case) and use this failed application as a basis to appeal the injunction's result if it doesn't rule in MHJ's favor.

Why are knetz hating on this Calm man? Is he an influential figure in Korea?

Like Yoo Jae Seok famous? Have pristine reputation?

They're mocking him for signing the petition.

I think his explanation that it wasn't him picking a side and that he based it on just the two times that he was with MHJ and NewJeans didn't help him. He also said an acquitance asked him about signing the petition and some believe that's filmmaker Shin Woo Seok who directed some of NewJeans' mvs, so they're wondering if he was pressured into it. Though the forum I sometimes check (clien) was more reasonable about it. It's just his personal decision to sign a petition and everyone was allowed to sign one.

People in general are putting way too much value on these petitions. They're kinda insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It's mostly just a way to show support.

With the amount of supposed kakaotalk chats between MHJ and VP Lee that have been leaked so far you have to wonder if these two talked about anything else than their plans lol. Like how do you go from working at Hybe's IR team until this year, move officially to Ador in February (who immediately change their management structure by creating an additional VP position for him), and then straight away start sending dozens of kakaotalk chats to MHJ to make a plan together and futrhermore organize meetings in that same month with investment companies to talk about Ador's future. What a weird career trajectory lol

Just noticed that some of the new kakaotalk leaks include conversations that aren't just between MHJ and VP Lee.

This one is between VP lee and some CEO of a management/investment company. Think this is the first time a convo between VP Lee and an external actor has been published.

and this one is between MHJ and person K from Ador (might be creative director Yemin Kim). Could be that this convo took place in the group chat of all Ador executives.

I saw a lot of users talking about NewJeans mv being restricted on youtube and this was just reported in a korean article about it:

Hive also became aware of this fact on the evening of the 26th and began its own investigation. Since Hive did not classify the music video as adult content when it was first registered, it is reported that YouTube believed that it had classified it as age-restricted content according to its own standards and requested YouTube to confirm this.

As far as I know an mv being restricted isn't necessarily the same as being age-restricted. The latter you can apply to your own video yourself while the former is completely in the hands of youtube's reviewers and algorithm. On youtube kids for example there are a few other newjeans mvs not available that are available on restricted mode.

Official Hybe statement about this just came out:

Below is the full Hive admission statement.

Hive does not set an age limit when uploading music videos to YouTube. YouTube classifies content as age-restricted according to its own standards. We have requested a response from YouTube's headquarters along with confirming the exact facts to determine what criteria the viewing age was restricted to.

Regarding this, Representative Min said, “It is illegally acquired information and has been pieced together to be advantageous to Hive,” and added, “It is regrettable that they are continuously trying to mislead public opinion ahead of the ruling.”

Don't know if this is all MHJ will comment about it today or if there will be a lengthy response later on

If NJ stays or leave Hybe, how will this affect their brand deals? They stay, they keep their brand deal but if they leave it's cancelled?

As long as Hybe owns Ador NewJeans' IP is theirs. NewJeans members might be able to keep any individual deals but will have to negotiate the release of the IP rights with Hybe. So albums, songs, music videos, group name, fandom name, fan app will all stay with Hybe if newjeans terminate their contract. They'll likely would have to pay a lot of additional money to get those rights back from Hybe.

That's not to say that NewJeans won't lose anything by staying with Hybe when MHJ is removed. They'll lose her contacts and relationships in the music industry likely. Their korean producers for example.

I think it would be more likely that it is reporter Jeon Hyeong-hwa (전형화 기자) from daily sports. He basically has published all the exclusives from MHJ's side. The interview with the stylist, the parent, and MHJ herself the day after the audit. And he never really published anything about kpop before, just about movie news

[Exclusive] The identity of ‘Jiyoung 0814’, a shaman who manages, above Min Hee-jin, “I can eat the company”

On the morning of the 17th, the Civil Settlement Division 50 of the Seoul Central District Court held a public hearing on the 'application for a provisional disposition to ban the exercise of voting rights' filed by Adore CEO Min Hee-jin against Hive. Hive claims that CEO Min discussed management with a specific shaman and that this is also one of the reasons for his dismissal.

The nickname of Mr. Lee, a female shaman born in 1973, is ‘Jiyoung 0814’. TV Daily obtained the text messages exchanged between CEO Min and shaman ‘Jiyoung 0814’ and reconstructed the details as they were in March 2021 . On the 24th, 'Jiyoung 0814' advised CEO Min, 'We can bring the company together as if it were a corporate merger in 3 years.' It was in April of this year that CEO Min exposed the conflict with Hive. matches exactly

    1.jpg

This is a text message between ‘Jiyoung 0814’ and CEO Min three years ago. April 2021 is when CEO Mi

n joined Hive as CBO (Corporate Brand Chief). According to the text, CEO Min 'felt that he wanted to have' something as soon as he joined the company . The time is April 2024, and what I want to have is my own label

    2.jpg

Representative Min believed that he was communicating with his deceased sister through 'Jiyoung 0814'. ‘Jiyoung 0814’ also asked for a job through the words of a spirit, saying that she wanted to work next to CEO Min. In fact, it was confirmed that the applicant in question had joined another company during the final interview stage during the hiring process.

'Jiyoung 0814' intervened in Adore's management more deeply than expected. Representative Min and ‘Jiyoung 0814’ often had conversations about Hive’s compensation amount, including put options. ‘Jiyoung 0814’ also sent a text message to CEOMin asking him to offer a higher amount than the put option conditions suggested by Hive

    3.jpg

CEO Min often shared his honest thoughts with ‘Jiyoung 0814’. “I think I can make money off the company like this.” He revealed his own secret plans, such as ▶ stealing a girl group ▶ winning a negotiation by paying 20 times the price. The girl group mentioned in the text appears to refer to New Jeans. Representative Min even asked Hive whether he should give up 20x the put option or take the girl group (NewJeans) away from the shaman. Jiyoung’s answer to ‘0814’ is 20 times the put option.

Representative Min did not give up on either of them. He asked Hive to give him the right to terminate New Genes' exclusive contract, and requested that the put option contracted at 13 times be raised to more than that, but it fell through due to Hive's refusal.

Representative Min is free to trust the words of shamans. However, if a shaman's personal opinions are inciting management conflict, the story is different. Moreover, the company is a hive label containing K-pop symbols. Who is the real owner of Adore? Is it Hive that owns 80% of the shares? Or am I ‘Jiyoung 0814’ above the running Representative Min?
