Don't Butter the Feeling
Looks like you came to this first.
Fine, I'll add a new one:
Don't Fight the Buttering
This too works with the original song.

Is this the closest thing to a summer song that Exo has released?
Don't Fight The Butter
This also tickles me and actually still works w/ the original song.

I'm glad that more and more people are starting to appreciate NCT, they have so many great songs and performances.
Boy groups have it hard, appealing to non-fans, and a number of NCT tracks aren't the most accessible ones for a mainstream audience.
Which ones do you consider less accessible?
I thought Save was ok...sort of basic compared to the rest of their discography.
I like the NCT songs that have some catchy elements but also have some interesting atonal or modal parts. I'll have to watch the dance practice to see if I like it any better. Also, no interesting harmonies in the "SM" bridge....it more of a rap breakdown.
I have this feeling it could be redone to be amazing...it has the basic catchy elements but doesn't do enough with it.
Not BMW but BMX Bike.

Yep
What?! No Huffy?
Also, I recommend staying away from pulling up in one of these:
„Construction“ sound/music in the examples here? What is this then…?! XD

Some group should do an updated cover of this.
Any group you think would be best suited for it?
Lol, it reminds me of this:
Dance practise for me. I don’t really care about MVs. I love live performances more. Then it’s dance practise and last will be MVs
I like the live performances too but sometimes the fan chants get really annoying.
While the whole generation thing in k-pop is confusing to me, choosing decades when idols were born is arbitrary.
As a casual observer, I'd propose that a new generation starts when there is a reasonably big shift in the industry. It could be music, choreo, or even the way that k-pop is targeting overseas markets now.
But, that's something that usually gets decided by historians after the fact. I doubt idols care about this, why should you?
It seems like there's some backlash against over-zooming and cutting out the best dance moves in MVs.
I like performance videos too, perhaps I just like the visual pictures that k-pop formations often do.
Which MVs do you prefer the dance practice to?
While K-pop is music, it's also a visual experience with all these crazy MVs that make American ones pale in comparison.
I don't normally listen to k-pop on my Spotify. That said, I realized the other day that I often prefer watching the dance practices vs the MVs as part of the listening experience.
Anyone else the same type of weird as me? (I'm not a dancer)
OP, maybe you can list songs you like. That will give us a better idea of your preferences.
I don't think this particular song is for everyone because of the feeling it is trying to convey. It's a little artsy for most k-pop groups and I think they executed it well and made it their own. I haven't seen any professional covers of it--it would be very difficult to reinterpret.
SM takes artistic risks even with debut songs and it doesn't always work out. I think this one will stand the test of time--just not from a popularity perspective. It'll be a song that k-pop cover groups aspire to do because its difficult technically and musically.
It's just not accessible to you.
As a litmus test, how do you like Move by Taemin?
OP. You're dead wrong on this.
The Mongols did invade Jeju and use it as an invasion base. The biggest Mongolian diaspora is in Korea.
Can you establish any evidence behind your statements?
Discipline.
One way of doing this is like caratnotcarrot suggests: confining kpop to certain conditions on the weekdays (after everything else is done) and being free to enjoy it on the weekends. If you want to be social, I'd also confine it to evenings after being outside on the weekends too.
I don't know if it's something to do cold turkey either. Just start imposing rules for how you consume k-pop and take gradual steps to a manageable lifestyle change.
It doesn't sound like you have an addiction (yet).
I never equated swimsuits to porn in the first place. But now..
*bow chicka wow wow*
Date rather than hate.
Not a glow up. Just growing up.
Hangyul is a good example.
I've known full-blooded Koreans that look Filipino or Hispanic. The parents look more Korean but genes can mix in funny ways.
Even though Korean and Japanese people are two of the most genetically similar peoples in the world, the idols can look very different.
