I was wondering why OMG aren't doing 2-3 comebacks each year or at least releasing digital singles.

They have the hype, all their recent releases are among the most popular songs by ggs in Korea. IU loves them and their fandom has grown a lot (they can sell around 100k now).

Why isn't WM working hard and keeping the group busy? In comparison, twice who also debuted in the same year, has scheduled 5 releases this year alone. WJSN also had 1 cb this year but their sub units released albums so we heard more of them.

What's holding OMG back from having more than 1 comeback since 2020? YooA debuted solo last year so ppl said they were focusing on solo schedules. Yet she didn't get a comeback this year, Arin has quit her MC position and I barely see the rest of members active, unlike other ggs.

I just feel WM is wasting their hype and I fear it could end like gfriend and lovelyz situation.

Aparently 2 of them are on discussions with the company for renewal... And what if they are keeping them from releasing music until all the group renews..

Tbh the Christmas album idea is not that far off because didn't Taeyong (?) mention Christmas in of those vlives in the pre-comeback period? Could have been a hint, but who knows.

The best option is a special album with christmas songs or something in that style. This year we got full releases from the units, there's no need for another full+repack especially when we just had nct 2020.

if it's not the angry unit/solo stans boycotting nct 2021, it will be the broke ot23s than can't economically support the group the ones getting mad at SM.

Even the quietest fans aren't liking the idea so much. Today I saw that two shows were removed from Taeil's schedule, and many are speculating it's due to something related to nct 2021 because jungwoo is mcing on music core as usual so it can't be due to 127's schedule.

Hi! So I was kinda on hiatus lately because of college and only commented on the main forum but now that I have more free time I want to catch up with this thread, especially now that many things are coming out soon.

1. What do you guys think about nct2021?

Some 127zens are kinda done with it because 127 hasn't released the repack yet and are afraid 2021 might affect it. many fans don't know which album they will buy for example... imo SM should have given fans more time to save money because with so many releases + merch in the last months they have drained the fandom.

But I'm sure 127 will do well regardless and 2021 also has the hungry wayv and sungtaro fans that will support them.

Also, 2. Which concept/format is your guess for nct 2021?

Rumors say it's a full album, but a full album means a repack and idk how it's going to be included in the schedule unless they promote in 2022 too.

I'm hoping for a christmas mini/special album because it would fit the season so well and i feel unit fans would support it more since christmas songs are cute and don't affect the units previous releases.

About the line-up, I'm not really interest on knowing if they will include new members or how many they will be. that's not going to affect how much I enjoy the era so I'm okay with any option.

I'm also hoping for new combinations, I want to see all the members getting MVs/track videos and songs.

But with winwin and ten in China, I'm not sure what kind of promos they will have, Lucas is also out so it will be 3 members being absent from promotions. As an ot23, I don't like that idea so much...

other than music, I'm expecting SM will give us some cute YouTube content with all the members (I'd love a Halloween party...) Maybe some special stages on the year-end shows but I think the focus will remain on dream and 127 for the award shows.

I'm sad, I wanted to like it but after the 4th watch I don't I'll tune in for the live stages. It's too generic and boring, and a bad try on izone's music. Half of the members aren't doing anything and I felt a lack of chowon this time.

I ended up liking vanilla live stages because they had a catchy vibe but this new one... I don't think so

What makes IU the big name she's, is her amazing digital sales,not her physicals, that's just a plus. Many solos can sell good physically if they are debuting right after their group disbandment and were part of a produce group. But almost none of them can chart, and Yuri is part of that group.

She will be lucky if she can keep the fandom and don't get me wrong, she's actually doing great for a female solo,but with how poor her digitals are I wouldn't even claim she's next sejeong.

I don't know much about this onces vs jype case but as a nctzen I can say that is normal for international stores to have albums out of stock during pre order. Multiple versions of sticker were out of stock on Target in pre order period, sometimes they restocked but they sold out the next hour so it's clear the companies don't really send much stock to these stores

Lovelyz sell around 50k and had songs charting since debut. The company could have done so much better with them, especially after the Ah choo hype and Mijoo being so popular in Korea.

If they can give comebacks to their other acts that sell worse than lovelyz, it's clear this isn't about money

This isn't like CLC cse where they had poor results each comeback

It's a pity. I think if they didn't want to invest on them as a group they could at least give the members more solo opportunities. I know some of them debuted as soloists but the promo felt so short... For me is obvious the company isn't planning on giving them better offers for the renewal so they are just waiting for the girls to leave. Like CLC and gugudan case
