Can’t this question be reversed too? What’s the point of charting when you don’t even have a fandom that buys albums or comes to your concerts?

The general public attention is so fickle, the minute you do anything scandalous, they drop you. Who are you gonna rely on then to support you if you have no fandom to back you up?

Also, MelOn is only one of the many streaming sites in Korea. I won’t speak on NCT much since I don’t keep up with them much, but SEVENTEEN is the 5th most streamed boy group on MelOn with 2.2B streams. People forget how well Heng:Garae charted, because they only look at Semicolon’s performance. Even on Gaon they have over 1.2B streams (based on what we know from the July update from last year— must have increased by now). On Spotify they are the third most streamed boy group with 1.2B streams. I am definitely not saying their charting is out of the world or crazy, but they definitely do decently for a fan driven group. Also, not to mention how numerous times SEVENTEEN themselves said that they don’t make songs for the general public to listen, but for the fans only— which is why they are so fandom driven.

I seriously love how they went from being idol staff to being office workers.

Yeah, that’s what I am waiting for to see who is here and who is not. So I will give it a while to see who wants to rebuild the guild or not. We are still waiting on our leader and co-leader hopefully they will return soon.
