Keita wasn’t popular in Japan.

Based on J Twitter/forums, Japanese audience picks were Geunwook and Mathew.

Seems like Keita was mostly their “Japanese member filler pick”. Most of his votes were from international fans (like Jay). I’m sad he didn’t make it but not surprised he didn’t debut since he didn’t have much Korean/Japanese support.

Mnet/Produce groups are pretty popular in Japan. Having Japanese members helps but i don’t think it’ll negatively affect them. There’s been Kpop groups(BTS, Kara, SNSD, TVXQ, Blackpink) that have been successful in Japan without any Japanese member.

I still remember all the nasty, derogatory and sex*st comments you made towards Twice. Especially the degrading comments you made in the Jennie vs Jihyo thread, it was towards both girls too. You said Jennie would be a perfect trophy wife because she was beautiful and hot whereas Jihyo would be someone men would sleep with but not marry or bring home. Multiple times you used “housewife” (just like JYP) and “soccer mom” to talk about Jihyo’s visuals and body.

I think aside from the “stealing the spot” sentiment, fans just don't know her all too well. Once they see her interactions with the members, her growth as she gains more experience from the group stages/performances and just get to see more of her personality overall they’ll warm up to her.

Members will always have haters and she will be no exception but I think the overall she’ll be accepted in the fandom especially as they gain new fans after debut.

People hating on that poor girl are so pathetic and such hypocrites. She earned her spot because people supported and voted for her to be in that position, which at the end of the day is the point of the show.

Also all of you who hate on her are so sure her support is only a gimmick when you have nothing official like album/merch sales, views, etc to actually back it up. Why not wait for them to debut before y’all start barking about how her popularity won’t translate to sales/views/fandom. Then if she does y’all will be the first one to use her achievements to boost your faves even if you don’t like her 🙄

And people are mad at bahiyyih for “stealing” a spot for other members. When she actually had votes to back her position(technically first place should’ve been hers) but some of the members who actually debuted heavily relied on the unfair Korean weighted votes and actually stole the places of other girls. No one is calling it out but using bahiyyih as a punching bag instead. Yaning and su ruiqi were definitely robbed.
