IOI was a mess
Wanna One has very good promotions, specially individually, but had way too much bad comebacks and a very convoluted scheduled. The problem was the contract, it was way too short to build proper hype between comebacks and let the group grown. Moreover they failed to cultivate their international popularity focusing only in Korea even if the show was pretty bit elsewhere
They did well with iZone. Neither Produce 48 nor iZone was nearly as close as Broduce and Wanna One, but they manage the group well. Their songs were well received, they released albums in Japan, overall the fandom grew even if the rigging scandals
X1 was rushed in a desperate attempt to avoid the rigging controversy, it was all meaningless and the group disbanded
With Kep1er it makes them failing to proper manage the group 3 out of 5 times, and only succeeding 1 our of 5
For Wanna One, I was thinking more about variety shows. The boys were everywhere those 1.5 years. I remember CJ also got Zico, Nell, Dynamic Duo, and Heize to produce songs for their third mini which is HUGE. Ofc, all of that could've been due to Wanna One's own popularity, but I think they did average. It wasn't great but not terrible either. They gave them regular comebacks at least.
As for international hype, there's really nothing they could do on that front. They just didn't have hype internationally because favorites like Samuel didn't make it into the lineup and music wasn't good.
Imho, the biggest issue with their management was the music, lack of budget for comebacks, and schedules.
