Do you forget that Nct sub unit probably almost as much as all hybe artist combine, which make them just equal. Having many older acts and female acts should giving them advantage to their sales. Even Exo the one you said not get promoted sold more than million albums. With this in mind, their sales is okay but never impressive especially if you compare to hybe. Even in hybe, there are only 4 acts that really active which is bts, svt, txt and enhypen. So, the second company is really impressive especially from business perspective.
There's nothing impressive business-wise about Hybe numbers, apart from the fact BTS is still the highest contributor on album sales when they barely released anything new this year, Seventeen and Nu'est were bought when they were already selling well, and Enhypen had the huge investment predebut of a whole survival show with CJ so the expectations were there. While it's true they have less acts, this just emphasizes how good SM's year was that they sold about the same as a company with 7/8 times their value, and how Hybe despite buying Pledis or making the I-land investment, they still heavily depend on 1 group to make the company have the value they have today.
If anything, BTS keeps being impressive business wise, but Hybe overall? Not really
