I think if is comparable because kpop fans often want new fans to know the history of kpop because it's not ok not to do so and show respect to older acts. I agree with the second part, tbh. Respect should be given to everyone.

In these discussions though, I rarely see kpop fans (1st, 2nd, 3rd gen stans, it doesn't matter) mention H.O.T, for example, for breaking into China. It's either Big Bang or EXO that are credited this achievement.

I think you might mean the appreciation threads of that H.O.T. fans. They didn't always get enough traction. I expected they would be more popular all things considered.

As a fan of a group who changed kpop drastically but there are kpop fans who refused to acknowledge it, I understand how it is and I agree it can be annoying. Groups should be given what they are due.

At the same time having seen similar discussions for years now, hardly anyone ever talks about H.O.T or Baby Vox when talking about kpop and who 'paved the way' in China and other Asian countries.

You are right. Kfans tend to have this obsession with youth and cute things whereas ifans tend to like more a bad girl/ bad boy image or at least they seem more open to idols experimenting and doing things that are considered out of norm in Korea.

Maybe now that the focus is more and more on ifans and other markets than Korea things might change.

Personally, I don't care much for sexy concepts or songs but I wouldn't want idols to feel restricted as to what they can sing about or be afraid to express themselves.

It is part of life as much as everything and it should be part of their music if they want it to.

Well, compared to western artists though, a lot of kpop idols use aegyo, cute, childlike mannerisms and way of speaking that makes it super weird when they try to be sexy or sing about sex.

Is it because the fans want it so they keep doing do that or are the fans used to it and idols and companies take advantage of that and they don't change? Perhaps both.

I am disappointed at her friend, SooAh. She looked betrayed and for what? Because JK looked different in the past? If I were JK, I would cut her from my life. She is a very shallow friend.

I believe that humans have some kind of energy that can be used to affect others or can be affected. And if spirits exist, it is their energy that stayed behind.

When I come from people believe in the evil eye and black magic, although the latter is no longer a popular practice. I have heard about a lot of incidents that made me think that there is possible a lot of truth there.

It would have great if they had had collab stages in the NYE live concert but I don't know if it was because of covid or BH not trying harder.

They can't take an artist with them on tour. Comeback stages are only for the group. It is not like any other group has other artist with them when they want to promote their new song.

That only leaves end of the year award shows. In order to prepare for them, they need to spend time to rehearse and up until this year, BTS has a full enough schedule.

At the time all of the girls who were in the Highlight reels hadn't debuted yet. And they played a role in the video, there was no point in being on stage for that.

I never thought of that to be honest. I don't care for sexy dances in general, sexy only group choreos included, so I don't miss something like that.

They have worked with plenty of female artists both in Korea and abroad and it is enough for me.

In 2017 Army Twitter was full of Ryujin dps, Armys supported their collabs with female singers or the songs they produced for female artists and a huge part of the fandom have wished for collabs with

Megan the Stallion, Rina Sawayama, HER and others. So, it is not just the 'crazy fans' if that's what you are thinking.

I don't like that part at all but regardless of that, I don't hear anything else that's that similar.

I know I will be annoyed by Soojin' bs in episode 12 based on the preview. But episode 11 was really good.

I am glad they discussed everything with Seojun. I may be Team Suho but I have to say that Seojun is a great guy.
