I agree with those who said that it's very early 2000s , JT vibes and I am really hyped because of that.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. It is s very cohesive album and also expresses perfectly who he is as an artist.
Slow dancing's bridge with the flute (?) sound is me favourite part.
He did an amazing job.

Well, we have seen plenty of groups with good digitals struggling to sell tickets and vice versa.
I think NJ will be a touring power in due time but that won't make what Twice did any less impressive. You and others used to call them nugu in the West and they managed to do pretty well there with some minimal promotions. I am not certain but I think they they even broke some BP records. That's something big.
Off topic but I just thought that if BP disbands it will be the end of an era for this forum when it comes to your legendary BTS vs BP threads.
And more importantly you won't ever get Aripink.

I’m curious if he’s dropping an English album like the rumors claim. Because that may let him enter a different trajectory or sphere I doubt any Korean artiste including BTS has entered.
An English album after his smash hit single will do a lot of wonders. He has nothing to lose imo
If you ask me, this would be the best thing to do. He has nothing to lose indeed. Personally, at this point, I think it's funny when I see people really about Korean identity and lyrics because all these years BTS has done so much to promote Korea that the lyrics won't make a difference.
When Armys 'joke' that he is the main pop boy, they aren't really exaggerating. He has shown that he can easily surpass some of the biggest names.
People also say is because of Scooter but what they fall to understand is that the Fifa gig made him reach a whole different demographic than the kpop fans and even western pop fans. This is reaching the GP completely.
It did for him more than any remix or possible Scooter gimmick. ( which is bs because if it had been so, it would have been placed no1 on TTS but it was crickets from Spotify) .

I am afraid this is not true. Jungkook is the most popular kpop idol. His songs did better, his collab did better and I know that his album will sell better.

To answer the OP's question: no they are not a bad representation. They do their thing and some people might like it and other might not.
But, I can't help but find funny the part of the discussion about sound and identity when the majority of kpop song are completely influenced by western sounds.
It's this notion pop is bad and edm is good that makes me think it's funny when both are western.

As a fan of neither group I think they both did great but imo TXT's performance was a little bit better. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I don't like S Class so I can't fully enjoy it the performance but it was a good one nevertheless.
SKZ: had a fuller stage from the start and the dance break was more impressive but the outfits were bad.
TXT: better outfits and song, more individual charisma. Taehyun was the MVP of both groups.
But Anitta's part did nothing for the song/performance imo. It felt a little awkward.

She can't pull off the YG swag at all. The song felt like a parody and not the good kind.
The mv was fun though.

Flop for me, I am afraid. The chorus is repetitive and the rap is annoying.
-
For a game it is good. Although I have to say that I am still a Ready for Love enthusiast.
I understand why it didn't make the cut for the album, though, because it's a weaker version of the typical BP song.
As for the lyrics, it's yet another BP brag song with the vroom vrooms and the boom bangs. I have to say, though, that the tiki kiki Waikiki made me smile so I will give them that.
Blop

I guess it's smart of them to release a song that's close to their representative style after such a long hiatus but personally I am over this kind of songs and the talking rap.
I feel like this song had been released 20 times already.

BOP!
This is really good and catchy. I didn't like their previous English single but I love this one.
The music production sounds really bad in the MV but the audio track sounds way better.
The visuals in the MV were amazing.
-
Bop.
I like it a lot. Especially the ' you're making me' part.
She looked amazing in the mv
Two runs I have to say about it:
1. The transition to the 1st chorus felt a little sudden
2. I can't really explain it well but with she sounded really good vocally, it's like I was outof breath after hearing her breath at the end of each line. It's a weird feeling.
Anyway, I will definitely play it a lot.

It's not bad but nothing special.
The mv is nothing special either.

you said it was difficult to compair a rookie group with 7 year old group
that was your original post
i said compair the songs from BP from their rookie era.
And yes you don´t like any BP song and then you don`t agree they were legendary back then. OK
I am afraid you seem to be having a reading comprehension issue here so let me make it easier for you to understand.
I did say that it's hard to compare them because of their seniority and style.
Then, you quoted me and you made the comparison as rookies yourself and you said that BBY and Whistle are better songs. 'Period' you said.
Then I said that my opinion is different. AKA that those songs are better. I disagreed.
Not that I don't like them but that I don't think they are better since we are comparing her. And I disagreed that they are better despite the fact that you used views as an argument for their superiority.
Then the other user talked about BP debut being legendary and I agreed. It was legendary despite my preferring NJ debut songs.
But that doesn't mean that I think thati NJ debut is any less legendary. They are equal in my eyes.
I didn't say that I didn't like any BP song either.
This is as easy as I can make it for you.
I understand making things up about what I said might help you with the edgy persona but I am afraid I will be disagreeable and explain what actually happened.
-
Exactly. But you did seem to have a really hard time accepting my opinion in my initial post.
It's a little odd.
-
I mean you people were arguing about "legendary" and yeah BP debut was big what is this re writing of history.
Me not thinking Boombayah is a better song than Attention or Hype Boy doesn't mean the debut itself wasn't legendary.
The views won't change my opinion. Despacito is legendary but I still hate it with a passion despite thinking it was a megahit song.
