Blood Sweat and Tears was their breakout hit but they easily outdid themselves with Spring Day. Still one of their most beautiful songs

Maybe it's a 4th/5th gen thing but ZB1 has a fairly big LGBT community on their fandom at least in the i-fandom side. And not only gays but LGBT females as well

SM and good promotion/media play?
Which media play exactly?
The promotions were very slim. They had a very basic rollout

Flop
Tried because I like 4 of members from Boys Planet, but this just the typical 4th BG trash. Not going to listen to it again

Ateez are from a nugu company, their inclusion is pointless
Enhypen reality show esse panned in Korea, this destroyed their hype. They had an opportunity to rise with Polaroid Love, but their Company wasted their chance with their worst song (Future Perfect)
Tresure hype was destroyed with the long hiatus. No to mention their debut música sucks hard. Even in international side they only got attention during Jikjin and Darari era
Besides, 5th gen music is simply better. ZB1, BND, Riize and Even Plave are releasing better music than 4th gen (minus TxT)

JYP is much much better than in the past
There were times they didn't even have a true big group who could generate stable revenues. Their market cap was FNC level. I always find them pretty pathetic company to be put in the same place as YG or SM both true big companies with multiple successful artists
JYP has now by far their biggest BG (Stray Kids) and also their biggest GG (Twice). How are they declining ?

It is. In theory SM still much better because they have Shinee, EXO, Suju, Red Velvet and TVXQ and even Girls Generation which are all big groups who can make profits from touring
In practice most of those groups are not nearly as active as they could or should and SM has long given up in investing in any of them. NCT 127 will soon start their enlisting phase which will leave Aespa, Dream and Riize as the only active SM groups. JYP is stronger.

It's not the song of the year. It's the song of the life!

I definitely support this alliance

Nobody did it. If anything everybody predicted Seventeen to finally have decent (not amazing but decent) budget and global distribution and is precisely what happened. Seventeen quickly became the biggest group

I thought Brazil had a pretty sizable amount of kpop stans overall
We do but Allianz Parque is something even big local acts often struggle to sell out. Brazil has a lot of low income families, a ticket to an international concert can go as far as 90% of a monthly minimum wage for the Premium Floor. Of course nobody with such low income will go to a kpop concert anyways. Maybe kpop audience is more concentrated among the top 20% middle-to-upper class teenagers
