Where do you get the money details from?
He owned his own music company before he joined YG, so it's easy to extrapolate that he owned everything else at the time. The YG information came from articles about his contract renewal in 2015.
I'm the same age as Lee Sunhee and the Kim Sisters' US debut album.
My fave benefited from debuting outside the Kpop business. He owns his own copyrights and trademarks, he owns his pseudonym, and I think he owns his masters. During the period in which he was with a Big 3 company, he had a Western-style contract in which he kept his intellectual property, but his company got 30% for distribution and promotion.
The year my fave’s song was considered to be a harbinger of the apocalypse.
I think TNX is getting ready; there have been reports of hair color changes.
we could look if the song is used in movies and dramas to see if it made an impact outside our Kpop bubble.
Hangover was used in Black Panther and still didn't have an impact.
If I refer to a performer by their age, it's accurate; I'm talking about Psy, who was actually there (see DP).
The other option is that no one wanted to be shown up by a 45-year-old who refuses to lipsync even when dancing.

I voted for one song.
If I can get something vegetarian, then yes.
I get the feeling that they left Celine Dion off the list in deference to her recent diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, which has left her unable to sing.
I'm glad they remembered to put Martha Wash on the list, as she's been the hidden vocalist behind quite a few US hits. Some of the less-capable singers are there because of their songwriting more than their voices (Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison), but RS seems to have given more points for individuality than for technical vocals. And at least they selected the right Italian-American faux blonde.
Don't use Discogs as a reflection on what SM charges for vinyl; the people who sell on Discogs are flippers who expect a good-to-obscene return on their purchases from SM.
As far as your #9 and bonus entries, I'm here for both of those. The Kpop industry should work to develop soloists who aren't connected to groups and, therefore, don't die off when their groups disband.
