I think they’ll get a lot of comments if their visuals are not on bar with bps and personally I hope yg noticed the difference in skill level and lack of unity in bp after their debut and the new girls have similar skill level.
I think the group concept would be more on the youthful/playful girl crush and won’t have teddy as producer but we’ll see.
BlackLabel is preparing their own girl group, so Teddy might focus on them. I would love a new producer for ygngg. If Baby Monster is indeed the group's name, we might get 2 concepts, Baby = youth/cute concept and Monster = dark concept.

Actually, there's 3 known Chinese trainees, 2 from that chinese survival show and the girl named Bella and apparently they are preparing to debut in China, not in this group.
If you follow the timeline and details, the known YG trainees in korea left YG almost around the same time and that's after the burning sun scandal but I don't think they left bc of the scandal, they left bc YG canceled the plan to create a survival show for the girl group - YG was supposed to make 2 survival shows for girls and boys. The trainees who stayed are the chosen candidates, the girls who recently passed the audition after the exodus are most likely not part of the line-up as it is recently confirmed following a clip from a certain show that was filmed back in 2019 at the old YG building who said that the ngg were practicing that time and that the person who mentioned that also said that he is witnessing the creation of ygngg. So most likely the line-up has been finalized for awhile now, the members has been training way before that time and that they are indeed preparing for their debut this year. Jane and Vicky are still in China btw so if they will debut in this group, they should be in korea by now.

Yeah I know that YG put money into different things like 4.4 mln USD for Zepeto, the thing is what was a point of it?
Also you said that they've opened new building, I know it but if you think in smart way about it and for example look how football/soccer clubs are building and opening new stadiums then you will already know that it usually put clubs in debts.
You can check in this article how so many clubs that we think that they are "richest" somehow are also have biggest debts.
Those girl groups you are referring to are most likely have similar style as BlackPrint or trying to be them, I am certain YG won't let this ngg to have a similar style and music as BP and be a direct competition to them so in that case they don't have to look expensive on mvs like BP, if that's what you mean.
Apparently Seojin (and a bunch of other female trainees) left YG in late 2020.
Apparently an ex-trainee and a YG producer confirmed that Seojin is still in YG, the producer said she is preparing to debut in a girlgroup. She is the longest trainee in YG currently and if she indeed debuting in this group, she would most likely the oldest member as well.
People said the same thing about debuting Blackpink while 2ne1 was peaking (remember that "future 2ne1" was teased all the way back in 2012) and look where BP is now.
Whether or not they will be successful is anyone's guess but the company sees the profit in blackpink and if you think they won't try to recreate it, you're wrong.
Oh they gonna create another BlackPink for sure but I don't think this specific group will be THAT group coz that will mean BP and this group will be competing each other at the same time unless BP disbands this year

Just to not waste money, I bet channel will quickly gain a lot of subscribers, so later they can use income from youtube channel to 'boost' new gg budget.
YG is in deficit since 2019 yet it doesn't stop them debuting 2 boy groups and continue spending and even investing to new business ventures. For a company as big as YG, being deficit on paper doesn't mean income stop coming in, it might also means the company's money is being finance somewhere else. YG literally just open a new building. What makes you think they are not in the position of debuting a ngg? Lol especially now when they just made their biggest music sales income with BP and finally having a physical seller boygroup in their own, not to mention the biggest celebrity in Korea last year is from YG.
Also, dumb of you to think this girl group will be anything like BP meaning they have to look rich when being rich is not the only concept there is and the last time I checked, that's not the only way to stand out either.

It's kinda weird. They introduced/teased the members of 2ne1, BlackPink and even the trainees they let go for years/ months before they debut yet they are oddly mysterious for this new girl group.
I can't imagine the pressure YG is in right now. Debuting a ngg when their current one is still breaking records, has become the standard and possibly hasn't peaked yet. And they have to up the standard in terms of visuals and star power after giving us BP, expectation is high, making this debut the most exciting debut in 4th gen for me.
I have so much expectation for the members, YG letting go talents such as Suah and Youha (the most disappointing one, she is just so damn talented!!) And visuals such as Maya of Niziu and IT Girl potential and choir member, Chloe (Adidas child model and 2 times Allure model. She is apparently above 5'7 in height) might mean that the girls in the line-up are so much better than them. So far, Kang Seojin visual (Sulli look-a-like) and vocal talent (I specifically love her tone) doesn't disappoint and she is apparently 5'7 or above in height. It's exciting how YG will build the hype and how they gonna introduce the members, hoping they gonna start teasing them up if they really gonna debut them this year!

We are also both a member in our school dance team. When I was 15, I represented my school in a beauty pageant and he was my escort then, we have normal highschool relationship, we never talk about love, never talk about sex, we are never flirty. He wasn't even my crush. All those time, he was dating his classmate btw. When in college, our batch in dance group always hanged out, until he had to leave in other place for work and we lost contact, again we are never flirty. Thinking about it, we are never even that close. 1 year or 2 later, we found each other's social media accounts then things happened and courtship started. We never imagined back then that we will be what we are now yet based on your logic, I was groomed all those time just bc we met when I was minor and he was my senior LMAO as if I'm gonna allow anyone to manipulate me like that.
The thing is, we don't know their actual story. What we've only seen was GD was her senior and she was given the opportunity to worked with him twice and that's it!

Take for example, Melon has 8.8M users but only 500k users in daily average is listening to the current number 1 song, so yes, indeed a 50k makes alot of difference dumbo! With your logic, you just simply saying that dynamite is not a national hit since not even half of the users are listening or have listened to it or no songs should've been a national hit since the WHOLE COUNTRY ain't listening to it or in this case, the 23M total listeners across all platform are not listening to them. Anyway, for a song released in the 4th quarter of 2020 and apparently no buzz, no noise and has "very poor uls" yet it made on top 5 in Gallup list, higher than their very own and record breaking How You Like That aka the 2nd biggest song after dynamite that made the biggest buzz and had Korean media gushing over it for 24/7.. Lovesick Girls definitely has no impact but atleast it is now the girlgroup song with the most weeks on Melon top 10 and with it climbing back to top 5 on Flo, it won't be long enough until it will become the girlgroup song with the most weeks on Flo top 10 as well. They are not staying in top 10 that long but their uls is only 50k different between an 1 year old song with an 4 months old. So how can you tell whether LSG is more better than them? Chart is slow, uls is low, top 40 uls is only 100k different . I dont see how you say LSG is national hits without letting Blueming, eight, METEOR, When we disco, aloha, dolphin and major of top 40 be national hits?
In this current chart, major of top 40 is national hit. So if you said LSG deserve, then the rest as well. Low uls, uls gap is not much different, not hitting No1 anywhere, wandering in the chart for nearly a year , rise in chart sometimes (major of top 40 goes up and down all the time) like LSG, which makes your claim is irrelevant as we have so many national hits now.

First of all, get your fact straight.. LSG actually peaked at #1 on non-ul based charts that contradicts to what you say about it not hitting #1 anywhere and guess what song blocking it from #1? Yeah it's only dynamite, the bigger song and the biggest since the reform. How many times do I have to point out that LSG should be considered national hit for it's record breaking longevity and not bc of its explosive start.
With uls being low rn, a few thousand of uls especially a 50k uls makes a huge difference on charts so stop being stucked on the old chart hag! And with Melon, letting us see the total uls now, these daily uls is now becoming for chart purposes only. I remember, uls starting to hit the lowest, few weeks before dynamite when the #1 song at that time was only getting daily average of 400k - 350k uls. Since then, there's only a total of 3 songs that have reached 3M uls and that's dynamite, LSG and the refund sisters songs aka the song that almost hit 1M listeners in a day. As said, people would've consider RS's song a national hit, if only it had longevity. LSG as the song that haven't reached top 1 nor able to surpassed 700k uls in a day, yet it is able to managed that much uls. So to answer your questions, no, those old songs charting right now won't be considered national hits, most of them haven't even reach 3M listeners despite being a year older and they didn't stay a record breaking weeks on top 10 either while LSG has both the achievements. And trust me, it won't be long enough till reaching 3M uls in few months will be considered a huge achievement in Melon.
Anyway I consider, Blueming, Eight and Meteor to be national hits, they are in the same vein as Akmu's HYLTHB and now BP's LSG. Yeah not all national hits, should've insanely catchy choreo to dance to in public, most national hits outside the kpopsphere are mellow song and ballads. I still stand to what I believed that OST shouldn't be considered national hits. While the other songs you've mentioned doesn't have ground breaking achievements nor insane uls despite for it being released when uls didn't hit that low, also HYLT is bigger and more impactful than both but no, I dont think she is a national hit.

It already did. Some groups can't even enter top 10 anymore or stay inside the top 10 chart for few days while here's BP easily breaks the longevity record with a new sound and a new concept for them. If I'm a hater, I'll be mad too

LSG is not hitting No1 is a big disappointment. Like I said, as the whole MElon chart slow down, and ONLY MELON while Genie still stick to original format and LSG already out of top 10 for a while, it is hard to tell whether it is a national hit or not. The chart situation right now is combined of low uls, low users using, low dynamic of chart due to the chart reform, it is hard to prove anything, I can tell you half of the chart got this national hit already? which is very stupid.
Tell me, are those songs stayed inside the top 10 for straight 17 weeks like LSG?
Don't even start with the arguments of longevity over peaking at #1 coz I can give you a list of #1 songs but failing to enter top 10 weekly chart even for a week.
Just a little over a week ago, LSG was still climbing on Genie top 10, and it's stable at top 15 despite Genie currently being more infested with zoombies fans than before. And as I said, comparing to D4, LSG is doing better longevity wise in ALL PLATFORMS.. so ppl saying that LSG only has longevity bc of the new MELON SYSTEM is WRONG coz other charts remain the same than before!
The Melon chart right now is different due to reformation yet here you are keep on comparing the new system to the old system, instead embracing the new one and start adapting to the changes. Excuses, excuses, it's like talking to a wall! As I said, LSG deserves to be credited but I guess, for some of y'all, it's easier to blame the new system for kpop groups flopping and LSG's record breaking longevity.
