I mean the list of flop main vocals is a MILE LONG. What It Girl has ever become an It Girl for channeling her inner Whitney or Mariah?

Jennie, Suzy, Irene, Yoona, Hwasa, Hani, Seolhyun, Wonyoung, Karina. Exactly zero became famous for their vocal prowess.

Hell, we can even lower the bar from It Girl to just being the most popular in your own group. I cant think of a single group where the main vocal is clearly the most popular member except for Baemon with Ahyeon. There are some names below where the main vocalist can be argued to be the most popular depending on whether you're talking about fanbase vs GP, domestic vs international, blah blah blah.

But overall, this list shows you exactly what being the "best singer" gets you in Kpop...

Tzuyu and Dahyun are fine singers. They aren't trying to be amazing vocalists. That's not really their role in the group. Momo is also not bad but JYP consistently makes her sing out of her comfort zone. When she sings songs that fit her she does it decently. I would also say New Jeans members are quite good so im not really saying they are better or worse. Just pushing back against your point here on the Twice members a bit

Nmixx release was quite good. I don’t really think for Nmixx the problem is music quality. They have some good music. I do think promotion and lack of creativity in said promotion is the problem. I also completely disagree about boring trainees. I think JYP artists are some of the more interesting idols in terms of personality. I’m sorry but some of these 4th gen groups don’t have nearly the personality as 3rd or 2nd gen groups. I do agree when it comes to ITZY and in a sense Stray Kids their releases are like old Kpop. JYP is still making Kpop songs like it’s 2016 and not adapting. It is hurting them in the public eyes. Though I would say international Kpop is just at a weak point right now. BTS and BP are both inactive and Twice is going on 10 years now and are bound to decrease in popularity.

It’s possible but most girl groups are marketed differently than BP. These groups comeback some much and generally don’t have as big a core fanbase to do that

It’s funny to hear people say 3rd gen groups are irrelevant when I still regularly hear Twice and Blackpink and others on the street just as often as I hear some 4th gen groups. Just goes to show that unless you actually live in a place you really don’t know shit.

4th gen is definitely more relevant now but that’s not much of a surprise it’s like saying in 2016 that 3rd gen is more relevant than 2nd. It’s called the passage of time.

Then you have JYP groups with albums that haven’t seen a day of creative packaging in years

Did...did people think MHJ claimed to invent Y2K? The issue with MHJ had is that the similarity was occurring within the same company. The idea being Hybe was trying to diminish its own group because they didn't like MHJ and thus were putting out a very similar group in Illit to target New Jeans. People can't honestly believe MHj invented Y2K of the idea of Y2K. To completely start the only groups that MHJ ever talked about similar concepts are groups in her label. Besides maybe RIZE which I don't even think she brought up.

Literally armys are the biggest one inserting bts everywhere, just see how when news of bang pd treating newjeans'members like outcasts was released armys started inserting bts and saying stuff like "bang treated taehyung like crap too but he or his parents never said anything, newjeans members and their parents are entitled brats and other nasty stuff" just because they raised issue about bang pd's micro aggression towards newjeans members.

JYP makes money because despite everyone acting like their groups are doing shit they all do decently well in sales and touring. Also JYP is smaller than the other companies so less operating costs. Finally, JYPE is shit at putting that money into their current artists. General their promotion isn't that good and the quality of their comebacks is less than or very inconsistent. I would rather JYPE has less profit and uses the money that they fans spend on their artists to give them good, creative shit. JYP may be a good businessman but the company can't last like this forever.

Also why are people worrying about HYBE? They have massive revenue and they are a huge company of course their profit is going to be smaller unless they just hoard that shit. But from what we can see. Hybe isn't scared to spend money on their artists. They also have a shit ton of them so.

I would only be worried about YG. They are actually in the negative and only really have BabyMonster as their saving grace and they aren't doing exceptionally well yet. Well they have BP as well but I think the days of BP being able to hard carry YG are gone
