Two things can be true at the same time. I'm aware that JYPE fandoms roast JYPE on the regular, but the consensus opinion I've seen just from the average K-Pop fan, who may not be specifically be in a JYPE fandom, is that JYPE is the "good company" and JYP is the least problematic CEO. JYPE may indeed be a good company and JYP may be the least problematic. But in an industry that is rampant with abuse that is deemed "normal" and "necessary" that doesnt mean much. The fact remains, yes people have overly hyped JYPE for being good, but there have also been plenty of criticism of JYPE and its practices for years. But I agree, maybe this has broken that illusion for some but for some as well this has only confirmed what we have already seen from previous JYPE groups and indeed from groups around Kpop

I guess the reason I'm confused is many JYPE fandoms have shit on JYPE constantly for mistreatment against the members of all their groups. I do agree that JYPE had a bit of a better rep but it wasnt untarnished. ,Maybe its just what you were seeing from company Stans which isn't really instructive of the whole.

why even watch Kpop? I would make the claim that most Kpop idols have some eating disorder at some point in their career. The industry as a whole promotes that style, the fans promote that style. Fans literally fat shame idols all the fucking time. It's not like the industry does this independently. If fans wanted bigger idols and supported that more then companies would push that. At some point fans have to look in a mirror and understand their own role in pushing this shit.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving artists. She sang well and the video ws top tier. Haven't had a chance to listen to the rest of her music yet

That's doesn't say much JYP has a good relationship with most of his former idols including at least somewhat KG as she praised him. I think people have to stop thinking just because the idols may have liked the CEO, that means the company was all great or not bad.

Yeah, I mean JYPE might be better than some but being the best company in a predatory industry doesn't mean you are somehow ethical. Though I doubt JYPE is far from the best. maybe this will help improve some things though

3,000 is a representative sample. you don't need to poll a large group generally to figure out trends within a population

As for her thanking people in the company, she can genuinely appreciate and respect specific individuals while shunning others. It's not mutually exclusive. Maybe J.Y. Park himself didn't subject her to abusive working conditions, but staff within the company did.

This is something even Jay Park has spoken up about. He and Jinyoung Park had a decent relationship and still have mutual respect for each other to this day, but Jay witnessed staff (the ones in charge of training trainees and idols) abusing trainees.

Apparently she even said she was thankful to JYP and the executives but even being generous and saying JYP doesn't know about all his managers do, as the CEO if you have kids basically self harming and hurting themselves in other ways. I don't really care if it's not at your personal direction, you gotta take responsibility.

Momo was a teenager and it may have been Momo's "idea" but a child would only develop that idea after being extremely pressured by adults to be extra skinny or made to feel like she had to be

This isn't really JYPE's true colors. It's just the Kpop industry. It has been shit for a long time. It was seemingly getting a bit better and maybe it has, but it's clear JYPE still does many of the toxic things that causes idols problems. They can maybe get away with it from Korean idols, at least somewhat, but western singers might not take that as much. Glad on KG for stepping up for herself and hopefully the other girls can get out of there

It's good but it has the same problem as many Twice tracks of the modern times, it's not that catchy. Maybe it'll come to me but it isn't that catchy yet

Mina and Megan are childhood friends. They were both born in San Antonio Texas. Megan is two years older and was an amazing older sister figure for Mina when they were growing up.
