Do people really think baemon will be the next bp

    Blackpink is a phenomena… can’t be replicated

    I'm not sure they'll be as big as bp, but they're gonna be successful.

    Tbh replicating bp success is almost impossible

    Blinks will finally understand Blackjacks' feelings with the debut of Baemon.

    If YG applies the same marketing and music style for Baemin, they will 100% be a success since no other company can copy that YG's style.

    They will have a stronger shot at it than all the other contenders. It's not like the "can't match up to BTS" thing at HYBE, because YG already re-created their girl group formula successfully, in fact they surpassed. So yeah they could do it again.

    Why are people saying that YG will follow 2ne1/BP formula again?

    All of the rumors about Baemon say that they will be the most different YG group, they will probably be like Treasure gg version. And Yang Hyunsuk isnt even active anymore since 2019, this group will most likely have a different vibe.

    They need to be out of the dungeon first

    Aslo, to answer op, I do think they will be popular but I'm not sure if it will be to the extent of Blackpink. While this may not be the case, patterns show that if a company has the #1 leading group of their gen, their following group will not be the one to follow that success. It usually gets passed around from company to company.


    i.e SNSD (sm) >TWICE (jyp) >Blackpink (yg).


    I think the next top group will come from a new company.


    This is probably because company stans are less willing to migrate to the junior group if they are already attached to the senior one. Probably why Red Velvet and Itzy turned out the way they did. YG was smart to have gotten rid of 2ne1 first before debuting Blackpink.

    NO other group from YG will be bigger than the pinks

    they are one of a kind and I'm sure most blinks wont support this new group specially if we keep getting crumbs

    Um do people have amnesia and have collectively forgotten YG's current status compared to what things were like in 2016? Treasure, iKON, and Winner are all flops digitally. Even AKMU didn't make much noise last year. BB is an exception. What makes people think Korean GP will support a new YG group at all?


    Also why do people think BP = 2NE1 lol

    2NE1 was not even the biggest gg of their gen, it's obv going to be a bit harder to create a group that charts consistently in the USA and Europe and sells as much as BP does. BP is an exception not the norm for YG

    they won't be the next BP as long as BP and blinks exists. it's just the truth and culture of it all. its the same as if 2ne1 still exists, would BP be as big as they are now etc. its hard to divide fans up if you have multiple hard hitters in the company


    and its yg, they have the same formula, so you cant have baemon and bp with the same song lmfao. but hey i could be wrong cause look at 2ne1 and bp, fans ate that sht up. if baemon debut while bp still active, can someone pull up the spiderman gif with 2ne1, bp and baemon pointing at each other lmfao

    Its always the bs of people here, 2ne1 disbanded and decided the disbandment after BP debut. And BP were slated to debut in 2013, but then was delayed to 2014, when Bom scandal happened and hence why BP debut was delayed again.

    They'll be popular but not BP level. I don't get why some people are confident YG can easily recreate that level of success when they failed miserably making boy groups after big bang

    That's all honestly irrelevant tbh. The point is, 2NE1 was already on their way out long before bp debut which gave YG's new girl group (whoever or whenever they planned to debut) room to be the flagship group for the company.
