Sadly, the thing with kpop groups are they have a "shelf life." Kpop groups simply don't last forever, especially girl groups. Blackpink is already near the end of their contract with a minuscule amount of a songs for a group so large. Worse, there is barely any content coming from the group as well.
Given how big they were at their peak, arguably they haven't even peaked yet (but we wouldn't know until their next comeback) so much could had been done. There were seemingly no limits to how huge they could have became. They're already massive for a girl group but imagine even larger.
Now we're left with a buncha shoulda, woulda, coulda....now we won't ever find out what the group would have been at their max potential...
It's a sad missed opportunity that YG will probably not have again. Blackpink is one of those once in a life time groups.
The future is uncertain and many things could still be changed and done but unfortunately, given YG's history, it is probably safe to say not much will change in the coming months. We'll probably have another comeback a buncha hype and then no proper follow up after that. -
