The Ive hate

    I feel like everyone downplays ives success bc "2 izone members" but there are groups with produce101 members that completely flopped or didnt do that well (pristin, weki meki, ab6ix, etc) so that honestly can not be the only reason for their success.


    "Wonyoung is a popular Izone member and an it girl" okay? So were chaeyeon and sejeong. Name one DIA song. Name one Gugudan song. Cha Eun woo is one of the biggest it boys and most ppl cant even name a single song from Astro and that is if they even know hes in a group called Astro. Just because someone is in an it girl/boy doesnt mean their group becomes popular. You're telling me ive gets all those streams just because people like wonyoung? Come on.


    "They just release generic music/they're so bland" Okay go listen to the nct rip off, 3 songs in 1 groups. No ones forcing you to listen to Ive. Obviously a lot of people just want to listen coherent "generic" music which is why they're doing so well. If it's too bland, theres plenty of groups for you to check out instead of hating on ive all the time.


    "Their choreographies suck" idk if I can really address this one because I acc rlly like them. I always see people hating and saying the choreos are bad but I never really understood that. Anyways if u hate the choreos, just dont watch.


    "The girls aren't pretty/ funny/ interesting." You lack taste. That's all I can say. Just take your tasteless self and find someone you do like then. Stop hating on IVE. Their oldest member is 19 so imagine being a loser and hating on a bunch of teen girls.


    "Their youtube streams suck." Love dive has literally spent 2 consecutive weeks at #1 on youtube South Korea songs chart but ig that doesnt matter bc kpop stans think can't get 100 million in atleast 1 week=flops. Sorry they're not Blqckpink and BTS😭

    The hate on IVE is because kpop stans HATE to see a mid sized company group do better than their faves that are expected be bigger because of their big company privileges.

    Why would you feel the need to compare ive to other groups that are from a whole different generation, as if groups don't get more hype now than they did before.

    This is valid, but as an IVE stan myself, you just gotta let the hate run its course honestly. The more popular they become, the more people are going to try and grab onto whatever meager thread they can to rationalize it to themselves. It's a kind of coping mechanism. The "Wonyoung/Yujin and friends" narrative, the "ads and playlists" narrative, the "generic music/they will be nobodies in xyz years narrative" will not stand the test of time, and there will come a point when the reality of IVE's success will be too immense for them to maintain their delusions.


    Remember there was also a time people used to throw all sorts of nasty accusations at BTS that now, none of them can dare say without looking absolutely foolish.


    Also, it's fair if people think IVE's music is generic (if you ask me, noise music has just affected a lot of their ability to digest music that has any form of cohesive harmony), or for them to not find the girls interesting, or to not like their choreography. All of that stuff is subjective and it's perfectly okay for other people to have opinions (and bad taste).

    U can't compare a group who promoted for 10 months with a group who promoted for 2 and a half year lol.Minus IVE the ex izone girls solos all did better than other ex produce groups members(minus chungha).Plus IVE is from starship,a company who had sistar and monsta x,not a total nugu company like where gugudan is from.And sejeong wasn't an it girl like wonyoung was.Wonyoung got a lot of endorsements and promotions before she even joined IVE.

    Without Wonyoung and Yujin, Ive aint selling more than 20k or getting anywhere near the top 10 of Melon. Let's be honest here.

    It definitely not just because of 2 izone's member.

    Wonyoung and Yujin do give high anticipation to the group, but without a hit song, they wouldn't be as big as now.


    It is combination of Wonyoung and Yujin, hit song, good company management ,and promotion.


    Also, the other members shine too.


    Haters gonna hate, and they are just jealous of them being successful

    People are way nicer to ive than they are to aespa. They don't even revive one percent of aespa's hate. But the fans have to play victim.

    I don't think that Chaeyeon or Sejeong are/were anywhere near the level of popularity that Wonyoung was. She was #1 at PD48 at 13 years old, and also afterwards she constantly popped up in the top of brand and popularity rankings, next to top tier popularity idols like Jennie, Irene, etc.


    I didn't see Chaeyeon or Sejeong ever do that, and certainly not for the extended periods like Wonyoung has.

    All of Starship groups sell above 100k so even if they only debuted Leeseo, Gaeul, Liz and Rei their 100k sales at least would be secured at some point.

    About charts, wrong, their songs didnt immediately debut at top10 on melon, it climbed on charts cause their music is good. Even if Wonyoung and Yujin weren't in the group, they would still live up to Sistar's legacy because their music is good and different from what other ggs are releasing.
