YG & YG adjacents shading Blackpink all of a sudden?

    Over the past week -

    Every group in YG was in a video reacting to Bigbang's MV, except Blackpink.

    TOP overtly shaded them by using a tweet they were in and erasing their name, when he didn't need to use a tweet with them in it.

    Tablo who is ex YG and usually super gracious just posted a "paved the way at Coachella" tweet in a passive aggressive way.

    Even Interscope coming out saying they were disappointed with the performance of Blackpink's last comeback. (Though they did nothing to promote it.)


    Their own people... (Also Cube and SM not so indirectly throwing shade on their twitter accounts.)


    And on the other side, Lisa's new magazine interview admitting she was displeased with some aspects of her solo, and saying there are things professionally she hasn't liked and hasn't wanted to do, first time I've seen a Blackpink member speaking publicly on being dissatisfied at YG.


    Maybe it's coincidence, but coupled with no group music for 18 months I wonder if things are going to get tense from now until we know what they decide what they choose to do next summer. I don't think YG is the "look what you stand to gain from staying" negotiator, more the "look what pariahs you will become if you leave" kind.

    They were so dumb for that. It was around that time that Lisa made it known that she really loved Nikki and Joji, two 88Rising artists. And yes, the posters were real. If they had been professional they might have been able to get Lisa on a collab or something. There has been a rumor that Lisa will perform Money on 88's Coachella stage and I knew it was fake right away because of the disrespect they've shown to her group.

    Contrary to what threads by anon armys may lead you to believe, OP, Interscope has actually not said anything BP-related and the suggestion that Interscope is disappointed with BP is from a Billboard podcast around Ice Cream era time


    As for the other things, SM and Cube mediaplay was to generate reactions and it clearly worked judging from the amount of blinks both companies managed to piss off LOL


    The only weird thing is YG and other YG artist's treatment of BP, which has admittedly never been great but now it's just getting weird. Not only were BP the only YG artists not featured in that Still Life thing, YG also deliberately left Jennie out of a "YG family" tweet about that show that she appeared on with other YG idols. The unprovoked TOP and Tablo shadiness also came out of nowhere and is kinda lame considering these are men in/approaching their 40s being passive aggressive to girls 10 years younger than them. Perhaps older YG artists (remember these are the people who always spoke positively of the former CEO known criminal YHS) resent BP and the "new YG" that exists now that they are all past glory days. Or maybe BP are truly not renewing and YG knows that


    Either way, all this in the last week plus the uncovered evidence from blinks of 88rising body-shaming BP or tweeting things like "Twice > BP" and then camping outside BP's concert in LA to promote their own artists has been a lot. SO many people are shady towards BP I kinda don't blame blinks for acting the way they do sometimes

    BP is more black label and Teddy's project.

    YG jealous their sausagefest got taken over by a GG

    Theres nothing weird about that. There are plenty of reasons why things happened as they did and it's not some kind of unfair treatment for Blackpink.


    - Regarding the Still Live reaction: Winner, Ikon and Treasure are still regularly working at the YG building. Blackpink's schedule simply doesn't allow that. Even getting all 4 of them together in one place is probably proving really hard for YG these days.


    - Regarding the YG family tweet: This happens all the time. Blinks are more likely to notice stuff like this because the fandom is bigger and the fandom is still unreasonably angry with YG.

    - Regarding Top Instagram post: What if he just wanted to highlight 2NE1? What if he didn't even edit the picture and just took it from someone/somewhere else? Another non-issue.


    - Regarding Tablo's tweet: Honestly I don't get where he's shading Blackpink in anyway. Please someone explain it to me.

    -Regarding 88rising: Trash personalities like their artists trash "music".

    You forgot AKMU Suhyun supposdly being jealous of Rosé and doings things like OSTs and having a studio just because Rosé wanted too


    If BP was in the BB reaction the same people would complain that YG forced them to give the hags clout

    Sechkies and AKMU weren't there either

    BP Karma could probably hit even bigger than the 2020 one against onces

    That tweet is more than 3 years old though? Plus it's just them preferring Twice over BP, not really shade.

    Funny thing is none of them are with yg anymore. They have no association to yg. So i don't get this yg is trying to shade black pink

    If bp reacted to bigbang it would have been strange, bp has always been separated from yg groups, in fact when scandals happened no one could say anything about them. Yg just want to keep it this way and I couldn't be happier about it.

    Tablo is just shading the fans and more importantly sm media play, never shaded bp. I don't get why you all think he's shading the group when what he said was true. Epik high were the first group performing there, what's so wrong about saying that.

    About top, he just wanted to congratulate his friends, you don't need to talk about everyone who went there before when you're happy for someone. He just took the first article headline he found. He's not even in yg anymore, why do you even care what he says.

    I guess you all pressed about not having a bp comeback, so you all find any excuse to say bp are mistreated in every possible way, which is stupid.

    I think you guys need to go out and touch some grass. Take a break from kpop if you're so pressed about such useless things.

    There was no BP shade in the Tablo post but Blinks act like there is because they are bored and they want to talk about something else than magazine covers.

    And if they had reached to BB, they would have been angrier and said that they were forced.

    maybe is they strange way to make the attention blinks have been giving to aespa, would shift back to yg artist, since SM seams to be geting extra promotion because of this.

    Tablo I can see shade towards SM rather than BP. he just happened to get jumped because blinks are bored and wound up


    But TOP is not even 40 not some geriatric it would have taken him 30 seconds to find an article only mentioning 2NE1 instead of taking the time to save the picture and cross out BP's name and the fact that 2NE1 were the second group let's stop with this trend of pretending like idols don't know how to use Instagram here


    Still Life reaction vid is one thing, there's so many other ways Bp are treated separately from other YG groups... like even today they are tweeting out Treasure and Winner videos tagged #investinourearth and then using BP official account to tweet about NFTs because they are fucking dumb and only care about BP when it comes to money
