Depends on danger level. Bitey things that can't fly get shoo'd into a cup and tossed outside, harmless pest-eaters are typically allowed to stay, and anything that flies dies with anything stingy being something I hire dad for

I killed a spider with a gallon of bleach cleaner until my room smelt like it last week... and I felt a little bad afterwards

My dad is always strict about dropping food on the floor, especially during the spring and summer when ants like to sneak in the house and reproduce.
And what I hate about bugs getting in the house is they reproduce too quickly! Or bring their friends with them...
