    Approved the thread.
    • they have an awful superiority complex, they think just because they're on Reddit their discussions are automatically more meaningful than those on other sites
    • lot of "pick me"s, they're willing to blatantly lie about idols, their abilities, etc. or endorse straight up harmful ideas if they believe it will make them seem superior to their strawman Twitter stan
    • you get RCRs for everything
    • if not RCRs, even your positive post will get downvoted by fans of competing groups
    • kpoprants moderation was shit, glad that sub is gone
    • you're not allowed to have opinions that differ from that of the loudest minority, for instance: if the very enlightened and logical redditors have decided that an idol who does miserably even at encores vs one that's actually well above average but in a group redditors stereotype as rap heavy are basically the same, you're not allowed to disagree
    • they're overly dramatic about things that have always been present in kpop fandoms
    • they're very reactionary
    • occasionally there's a few good posts on r/kpopthoughts and that's it.......
  • It's better than this cesspool of filth pannchoa for sure. Besides that, it's a mixed bag. There are some good discussions to have though.

  • heavy SM bias, with ARMY/HYBE stans not too far behind.

  • Too much downvoting of opinions that fandoms don't agree with. Even harmless posts get downvoted as long as they're no in favor of certain idols.

Recently vips have been mass reporting any post that brings up why bugbang are so controversial. Opinions that say someone won't support their comeback also get silently downvoted. There was a post that explained bigbangs past controversies because some people are new to kpop and are not aware. The post didn't last long as it was mass reported by yg stans.

Say what you want about akp but it would never silence a thread just because it criticised a group with no hate involved.

  • As with all Reddit, it is infested with neckbeards.

  • just awful, i would take twitter over it anyday

  • reddit kpop is quite a colorful place to put it lightly.

  • Didn't kpoprants get shut down after the mods threw a tantrum?

Worst parts of kpop reddit are the photo subs... They get obsessed with posting underage idols with innocent sounding comments, but you know what the deal is when you read the titles and comments of the pics of adult idols. It's where are the sexually frustrated losers congregate.

But the hive mind is the same there as it is here, twitter, and everywhere else. Everyone making special victims of their faves and complaining that everyone else gets better treatment and is out to get them. We're a sad bunch...

  • kpop stans are the same everywhere

  • please stop saying it's SM Stans based when it's really just bitter reveluvs exols they hate everything about aespa and nct.

  • same sh** as twitter stan but reddit at least have 2 or 3 sane people sometimes still a hell place tried to interact in reddit but it's a big ass NOPE

  • just awful, i would take twitter over it anyday

hell nah, twitter and tiktok are the worst social medias, there is no filter on those plataforms, you can say the vilest things and nobody will delete your comments, those plataforms need to be to go extinct and fast.

while kpop reddit it's not perfect, you can just ignore a post and the worst comments you'll find will be about "stage presence", "music", "skills".. etc these type of things so it's not as toxic as twitter, tiktok, youtube or this forum (previously before mods banned some trolls)

  • Like most forums it's heavy on SM stans. I have noticed there are a lot of onces too

  • People over there write essays like woke intellectuals
