let's see my mother is a diabetic, my father is lactose intolerant and i had 2 surgeries so...i can only eat certain food, no one eats better than the other or worse lol we all have to deal with various issues and certain foods. I can only eat small amounts of bread, noodles, rice, etc. I can't even eat more than 4 oz but i do 'cause i'm too lazy to measure...and then i regret it later.
*shrugs* The only fast food i can tolerate is taco bell lol
hard to say if their generation ate better or worse, probably when they were growing up they didn't worry about these types of problems or didn't have solutions, as food has evolved such as lactose free foods, and sugar free foods etc. probably didn't have the surgeries i had back then either

Yes I do and I can cook too. Junk food is nasty and damn expensive. I care about what I put into my body.

Diets weren't as complex. Meals with "Greens" every Dinner was considered eating healthy.
I was the family baker and always made the Cakes, Puddings, Jello, Pies, and Snacks for Deserts.
Now I just added a Fruit to meals that takes place of Deserts. Strawberries and Bananas lightly sprinkled with sugar. But I sure am thinking of making a German Chocolate Cake and Peanut Butter chocolate chip cookies. Alas - no cake or cookie and just an Orange.
-
nope they honestly ate really healthy
-
I try to balance it out, but my parents ate healthier
-
yeah, totally.

Yes, my family has a history of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
My mom is definitely eating healthier than me these days, but when she was a little girl, everything was loaded with sugar, cooked in grease, and doused in salt. Just good ole tasty southern cooking.

I find no many want Baking Items like they they did before. Like a switch was thrown and now sweets are off the menu. Sugar free Jello and Puddings are nearly the same as the sugar ones. Now Fruit Sorbets are acceptable.
