I think being in an idol agency has not really benefited them. I wouldn’t say it was the worst but not being in it wouldn’t affect them either I feel. Wouldn’t be surprised if they all move on. And in general I noticed JYP artists don’t re sign either.

That was expected from what I've been following about him.
I'm actually happy for these news, since I kinda feel like that he's been waiting for this for so long.
Tbvh, after a while, being under such restrictions he had in JYPE wasn't good for his mental health and despite loving and living for Day6, he had to take his time and consider his health and personal dreams as a priority. That was a brave move ngl.
I truly wish him and the group the best and I'm gonna follow him in all his projects (well, I'm his follower/fan first of all), he just needs to release music (like please, just drop this EP you've been spoiling for ages, Jae!).
From what I get from this, Jae is out of JYPE but still thinks about how he's gonna have projects together with the other Day6's members, he's just waiting for their military services to end.
These are good news somehow.
I'm not surprised about him leaving, but I am taken aback by how quickly the news for this came out. Wishing Day6 and Jae the best in their future paths.
