2018. i remember it was near the end of idol era. my old friend was a huge army and would constantly sing it on the bus. we sat next to each other so it was kind of annoying considering i didnt like bts too much. i never litsened to them but my sisters disliked them so i did to, dont ask why i liked to feel included as a kid (i have a vivid memory of saying bts stood for blood tears and sweat cause i only knew blood sweat and tears.. i was 8....) but i listened to the song and i really loved it so i fell down the rabbit hole. i knew a couple of kpop songs before (psy's gangnam style, daddy, new face and gentleman, bp ddu du ddu du, momoland's bboom bboom) but they never got me hooked like bts's discography did. they were the group that got me into kpop and im so grateful for that. evven if i ever decide to unstan i will have a place in my heart for the boys.

I'm similar. I got introduced to them right around YNWA (my first 3 songs were BST, boy Meets evil, and Butterfly), binged all sorts of introductory guides in the spring, listened to their whole discography during summer, and DNA was my first official comeback as well!

I became an ARMY in 2013. I was already into Kpop thank to my middle school friend who was deep into it and she knew all the groups even the less known groups like BTS at the beginning. She talked to me about them, I remembered that Jungkook immediately caught my attention and I loved No More Dream so much.

for me but i saw them on 1thek bc i regularly (and still do) follow their uploads. i fell in love with them in June 2013 and i don't regret it. my dad clowned me for years and jokingly/lovingly called Jimin "Jim Jimin" (he was his favorite but he wouldn't admit it). he lovingly clowned me whenever i said BTS was going to be huge. finally in 2017, my dad saw their name in the Wall Street Journal. he called me to apologize and that BTS were in fact big and that he should've believed me. one of the biggest triumphs i've ever had haha. they saw me through the worst parts of my life, sometimes i'm scared i'll never see them live, but i'm gonna manifest it. and i will.

I’m a Danger ARMY! Became obsessed after seeing them perform on a music show (ironically enough, I had tuned in to watch Taemin’s Danger).

I became army in 2013. When they debuted my friend made me check out no more dream I didn’t vibe. A few months later they had their first comeback with N.O, he made me listen to that entire mini album and I fell in love and went back to their first project and fell in love with the song Like too. Haven’t stopped being army since

It's cute how your dad had in fact a favorite member all this time. I have this habit to check the 1thek channel regularly.

I grew up with BTS. They are an important part of my youth.

I hope that you will see them live. I had this chance twice and it was a great experience that I will remember all my life.
