They're not unpopular, just not popular to the extent international fans think they are.

Teens and twenties - Yes. But older people prefer other genres.

But in general Actors, Sports people, TV Drama-variety, are ahead of idols in popularity on an average.

IU spans kpop, drama and some. Her music is also enjoyed by the older ages. She is both an idol and not.

BTS are of course an exceptional phenomenon.

I am surprised BTS is still that high despite not really promoting in Korea & not releasing a proper comeback/album. Nice to see IU still that high! The increase in percentage is probably because of the amazing year she had with an album release + digital single. Jaesuk remains a wall to everyone else, lol.
