i don't hate it but every time there's a childhood backstory between the main lead and love interest i do the biggest eyeroll
like can we PLZ come up wit something new ?? why do they always have to be connected through childhood or something lmao

a business man who is cold towards everyone then falls in love with the girl
When there is good cop/detective drama there always isn't a proper love story between characters lol...
it was like that in Good Detective, Memorist, and Awaken.
It's effed up...
it's like he cares for her, she is important for him, he will protect her, but we don't get any freakin romantic hugs, kisses, dates anything lol.
The let's break up even though we love each other so much (coz of some circumstance) then get when we see each other 2 years later we are still into each other and get back together + the time jump. That trope is just so lazy. Kdrama writers always use it at the end of dramas. Recent dramas it was used in includes Start Up, Record of Youth, True Beauty
The Protect form the water scene and that's why this scene is so good
when characters do not communicate with each other? WTF is up with that?
"oh, my boyfriend's childhood best friend is threatening to break up with him or she will ruin my mom's business?" well you bet I will go ahead and tell my boyfriend exactly what's going on. I'm not sacrificing my chance at happiness without laying out the facts first.
It’s not really a trope but that whiny, baby voice some actresses use for their characters. I really really hate it. It’s the only reason I didn’t like Boys Over Flowers. I watched the first episode of True Beauty and the girl used it often too..hopefully she loses it or else i’m dropping out lol
cancer
The girl being in a bad financial situation and needing the guy to save her
.

.
Why?
It's more like a small pet peeve because I still end up watching dramas like this but the rich and handsome jerk falling for the only girl who doesn't kiss the ground he walks on trope is so overdone.
Ex-gf or/and mother-in-law meddling towards chapter 11 or 12 then the couple would break up and get back together towards the end. It's so cliched, tbh!
:pepe-cute:
Oh, and those fish kisses, yuck! 🤢
Love Triangles. ENOUGH with them pls
when the character loses their memory so annyoing!!!!!!
Ugly girl, cute guy
Cold mean dude , cute bubbly girl
Love triangles
Evil mother in law
Those horrible kisses
making the male lead a whole perfectionist, it’s seen literally everywhere.
