Bop since first listen

How do you feel about Savage after 2 days have passed?

it's really grown on me. Originally, it was one of my least fav song in the album, now I just can't stop listening to it and is now my fav
-
Prechorus is amazing the chorus and bridge grew on me. It’s okay
Black Mamba is still my favorite, savage is probably second
-
i thought it was impossible but it got worse

Then stop. If you keep listening to it and it keeps getting worse and worse, it might end up tearing the very fabric of space-time itself.

still a blop for me

amazing

The same; not better or worse. The production is still lacking in ways that would make it qualify as being "world class" kind of d0pe.

If you would change some things what would you do? I am curious because I find the song way better than I expected. One of the best in 2019-2021 imo. I feel like it's quite close to being a timeless bop, a "world-class kind of dope" but it's not there yet for things I can't explain. Though I like it very much.

I appreciate that you are curious. The song might be somewhat better than the average coming out of K-Pop, but there are still areas of improvement to make it one of the best. These are only some things, not everything, I would do:
- Amend the intro:
Valley girl accent, "OMG!Don't you know I'm a Savage??" - Change the "rimshot" and snare strike to something more hard hitting
- Cut the "rimshot" from the 1st four measures of the pre-chorus, tweak the handclap rhythm(s)
- Hire pH-1 as a consultant to topline the rap cadences in the track "up to code"
- Make the transition to the bridge a full measure
- Amend the ended:
Zu Zu Zu-ing, End the song on the 8th count of the refrain"Ha ha, what?"

That makes so much sense. Your posts are always so interesting, you should share those kind of things more often!

Thanks! Eventually, I will show more concrete examples for songs.

Your take is always so interesting, because I ofter feel like there is something off with a song, even though I like it, but it feels like some things should be different. So when you point it out, it all makes sense.

I like the vocal part with winter and ning Ning between :30 to 1:00
If the whole song was like that it would have been a bop.
The rap and that high note at the end were not for me tho.

My Neavis, we love you!
OH my gosh!
Don't u know Ima savage ☠️
-
It’s so good, the only thing that led me down is probably the choreo
